Having a couple of players out is one thing, having your entire defensive base, the majority of your midfield and then the first choice replacements for several of those players is something else entirely.

You can't play possession football with Maguire and Evans. You lose a big part the attacking threat from the left without Shaw. A defence without Casemiro and Eriksen is weaker than one with, even if they're out of form.

Doesn't help when the big players are out of form, but even if they were in form, chances are they would suffer due to the lower quality behind them.

Don't get me wrong, we've been dreadful but I'm not surprised.

I see your general point but I think, that is pushing it quite hard. The injuries are taking a big toll, no question about it, but listings like that act as if we fell down 10 levels to our current level. Don't think, thats the case, we never even were on level 10. We lost one or two levels and now it is reflected by results.
