    Chelsea winning 3 nil

If we don't beat them 8 nil, ETH should be sacked, rehired and then sacked again immediately

Gonna need good tracking back from both our wingers. Hopefully Rashford feels like doing that on Sunday.

Hard to call as Villa are playing well, but occasionally have a stinker, like at OT. They should have put it to bed, but they didnt. I'm 60/40 saying 3-2 Villa, but it also wouldnt surprise me if the score was the other way around.

Villa are 1-1-2 in their last four home games.

We need to expose their high line like last time and I think we'll win. Just wish we had Martinez available.

A good performance and we have a good chance to win. It helps if we don‘t give them two free goals like last time.

Last season we tailed off after Carabao Cup victory but this season I believe we are going to have a strong end to the season. I strongly believe Hojlund, Garnacho and Rashford to continue scoring. Hoping Bruno and Casemiro (of last season) to find their range and start scoring more. A 4-2 comfortable victory to us.

think its likely with strength of English co-efficient

Good chance City and Liverpool go most of the way if not all the way this year

"So, if the Premier League clubs provide one of the top two performances for a nation in the 2023/24 UCL, UEFA Europa League and UEFA Europa Conference League the team finishing fifth this season will earn a UCL spot."

So you've Liverpool, West Ham and Brighton in the EL.

Aston Villa in the Conference League.

Man City and Arsenal in the CL.

Realistically Aston Villa should walk the Conference League. They have possibly the best manager for these type of competitions.

City and Arsenal should go far enough in CL. City possibly winning it.

Liverpool, if they're motivated should go far in EL. Likewise West Ham and Brighton should get to 1/4s or semis.

I'd imagine Klopp wants to go out with as many trophies as possible so will be motivated. They've a big squad anyway.

So really we only have to catch Villa or Spurs. Villa seems most likely right now since we're actually playing them.

Their result last night and over the last few weeks give me a little more confidence.

I think they maybe suit how we play too. They don't have a ball carrier in the middle of the pitch which is what we often struggle against. I think their midfield is usually Mcginn, Kamara and Luiz? It's very solid, hard working and decent on the ball but doesn't scare me. The worry would be Bailly and Watkins but I think Shaw / Varane can handle them (Hopefully).

It will be a really tough game though. We need to be at it from the start of the game.

Besides hammering rockbottom Sheffield United they actually haven't gotten any impressive results for a while. You'd have to go back to early December, when they beat Man City and Arsenal back-to-back.

Villa are going through a bit of a blip right now and last nights result against Chelsea gives me real hope of a good result. I’m going 1-3 United.

This is a huge game for us. Some confidence built up, now time to break that streak of being horrible away from home against top half sides. Ten Hag hasn't yet won away to:
    1. City
    2. Liverpool
    3. Arsenal
    4. Spurs
    5. Villa
    6. Brighton
    7. Newcastle
    8. West ham
    9. Chelsea
    10. Brentford
    11. Crystal Palace
    12. Haven't had the chance vs Luton yet
At the end of the day, for Ten Hag to truly win fans back over, this needs to end and we need to start playing well against good teams.

No more fukking about with running into dead ends or refusing to even look for Hojlund when he’s in a great position. It has to be about the win, not the instagram moment. We all know who needs to raise their game.

They are devastating in counter. Hope we are set up correctly. Also they leave plenty of space behind . Varane and Lindelof would be a good pairing . Maguire isn't bad but I think Lindelof's passing in to the middle would be helpful.

The obvious thought is Villa will bounce back after that dismal display.

However I don't think you can just switch performances on and off. They aren't playing very well in general.

I'm excited to watch United again - the cnuts better not let us down.

Yeah the old bounce back ffs. But they are not great atm so lets hope they stay that way.

Whispers on Twitter from United ‘insiders’ that Harry Amass could make the squad tomorrow.

I mean they had 3 clear cut chances they should have scored minimum.
On another day they would have drawn or even won, but it is always like that. Most games have defining moments where it can change the momentum.

We were better because we took our chances and we looked more threatening throughout. They created their best chances from give aways and set pieces. Besides that they did not have a look in.

It still makes me smirk a bit when I see United aren't favourites for a match like this

I'm still so used to them being so

But usually when I think that, United go and lose anyway, so it's usually justified.

    1-1

I can think of 1. The one where Emerson Skied it over from close range. However we could just easily say that we should have scored more than 3 as we had more clear cut chances that we should have scored.

I like Shaw as a left centre back but he's a different beast at left back, and a massive reason as to why we've looked a lot more creative of late.

Lindelof Or Maguire to play there.
Shaw improves Rashford’s game too when playing LB

I don't often feel positive before games, but I feel we will resoundingly beat Villa. There seems to be a renewed energy about our front 3 now

Predicting we will struggle with Licha's absence and Villa will obviously want to respond.
Not sure how we will go but I hope the scoring run continues but I think it'll be a tight loss.
Worth mentioning last we played there, we were pretty fecking shite, but granted we were carrying Ronnie and I think we were fecked by the refs with Villa given a dodgy free kick closer to the goal than it should have been.

Gonna need good tracking back from both our wingers. Hopefully Rashford feels like doing that on Sunday.

I don’t want him doing that much at all. He’s the key if they play their usual high line. Ripped them to shreds at Old Trafford and we need him primed to lead the counter-attack. Just for a change, I’d like teams to have to worry about what we are doing, rather than have our best players scurrying back after average full backs. Shaw can cope fine with support from the midfield.

Villa's high line suits Rashford, Garnacho and Bruno. They were lucky to go 2 up the last day, it won't happen again.

4-1 Utd win. Hojlund with a hat trick.
