Well it wasn't pretty to watch. But you know what they say about winning ugly. And to be fair it was rather ugly.

    Anyway. Fantastic result.

why have sky dragged the dregs out? merson... I thought he'd moved back into his mum's basement!

Aston Villa have a replica European Cup trophy on display slap bang in the middle of their tunnel?

    Cringe!

He scores goals when played in advanced positions, of his 236 appearances probably near enough 200 have been in deeper roles. We should probably criticize his Scotland scoring record while ignoring he has played half his games there at CB.
pointless trying to educate people who don't know his history.

He debuted as a DM, then by god he must only ever play as a DM and nowhere else

We didn't have a choice it was either him or Evans who can't play there because of his lack of speed
Maybe Dalot could have gone on the left and Lindelof is on the right

wow... doidn't think micah richards could be a bigger tool - but he's managed it with the superbowl ad

been saying for three years, there's a good player in there

Yes, still laughing. We were talking about first half no? Or did we have some magical talk about future events? So I can pick some random match in the future and laugh at your post about whole different game to "call you out", that is how stupid this post of yours is.

after they scored everyone in here said it was coming. Thats how stupid your earlier posts were.

I've been saying since his debut that he needs be at the bare minimum be used as the no.8, he clearly doesn't understand positioning and 'shadows' to be an anchor.

Ironically, it's the exact same thing we did to Fellaini. "You're tall? oh you must love defending, despite you making your name as a striker or second striker".

By that logic, we'd have played Zlatan as a holding Midfielder and ranted everytime he marked himself out of the game

26 in 236 appearances - 7 of which are this season.

Hardly screams “the lad scores goals”.

Look I’m happy for him, but more often than not he disrupts our play and makes it difficult to build forwards; or is lacking any positional discipline costing us control.

Happy for Scott today, I think he has his uses, but let’s not make out he’s Lampard.

Don’t understand this “let’s jump to defend him and mock those who criticise him” attitude - when he was starting and we were doing poorly were all of you screaming to build the team around him because “he scores goals”?
How about we go for the "manager knows what he's doing", instead?

I think they do know his history, they just don't care to adapt their opinion to new realities, just lazy.

I did the Douglas Luiz when the full-time whistle went :boring:
    Karma

Also, shouldn't he have been booked for that? As it's winding up the opposition. Pretty sure you can't celebrate and showboat in the oppositions faces

    LOVE THIS CLUB.

    THE WEEKEND IS COMPLETE.

Eh? Was I slagging off Dalot? The best right back I've ever seen, surely not?

He's been good lately but I still don't trust him as a defender. absolutely delighted with the result :D

Just a joke. I thought it was you I was talking about him to last week :)

Thought I saw that insider account tweet he could potentially return against Luton, then again he is apparently still not back in team training

Then the Luton game is a bit optimistic. I still don't understand why we bought him as he's a bit expensive for Bruno's understudy. I'm sure Erik has a plan.

Yeah starting to look more like Fulham or maybe even Forest in the FA Cup before he returns
