I imagine it'll either be a younger manager or one who tries to play positive football if the change does happen. Otherwise INEOS could just stick with Erik ten Hag if they want a coach with no personality playing dour football.
Tuchel had a reasonable record in some of the cup competitions at Chelsea but his league record never impressed me. He pretty much undid all of Nagelsmann's work in the space of a few weeks last season and was really fortunate to win the league. I don't think he did anything exceptional at PSG either. He's only an obvious candidate for a club with little ambition. I don't want him anywhere near mine.

Had a six-month fluke spell with Chelsea when Reece James actually played successive games and Kante was still in his prime. We can see his true level now.
Potter or DeZerbi. Not that I like both but given the new management is coming from similar background, they all will incline towards RDZ.

Potter would be a huge risk given Chelsea seemed to completely overwhelm him. Man. United is double the exposure Chelsea get. Of course Pochettino's struggles this season show head coach there is only part of the issue.
I think Potter is more likely to resurface at West Ham given they likely won't give Moyes a new deal and he can actually do alright with the squad West Ham have in forward and midfield areas.
De Zerbi, no issue with that one. I still feel if Liverpool can't tempt Xabi Alonso (or Bayern Munich make the approach first) then he could feature very high up on Liverpool's shortlist.
Imagine having that squad and not winning the league. They shouldn’t have won it last year either Dortmund bottled it.

He did fine there, but that is also possibly the weakest semi-final lineup I can remember in the Champions League. Leipzig and Lyon made the semis that year.
Why? At PSG they were decent in the bubble but had a route to the final that might be the easiest three games of all time, losing to Ole's United before. At Dortmund they were very good in the first season (still completely bottled it at Anfield in Europa) and then were at their normal level the rest of the way. At Chelsea he had a sensational run of not conceding much and being basically the best team in the world, but after November 2021 they were average until he got fired. Now he's been pretty eh the whole tenure.
He's a good coach but not a super-club level one. At least a step or two below. He can't coach a cohesive attack that sustains pressure in the final third, which is what teams like Bayern should possess.

Completely agree. His best characteristic at Chelsea was being defensively organised. Once that went out of the window it was over for him.

He lost the plot with us and really surprising he walked in to the Bayern job in the first place.
Seems far more likely than United going near him. His stock has fallen massively.

With his abrasive personality, there cant be too many glamorous clubs he could go too… especially if he’s not doing the business at arguably one of the easiest elite gigs in world football.

Nothing has changed since this post, he’s just doing a ridiculously good job at hammering home my point even as fecking Bayern manager.
This is one of the worst performances from a top level manager at an elite club I can remember. A top club that added the best all round striker in the world in the summer.
I think his reputation will see him sign for a Saudi team next. I can’t see him getting another top job in Europe for a while after this.

Oh well it is because, according to some posters on here, Bayern are actually doing great and it is only Leverkusen having such a great season making them look bad.
They are not doing great. They exited the cup against a third league team, which is a disaster, and they so far played a pretty terrible CL season (for their standards). Nonetheless they are getting better results in the league than last year and on a level that absolutely would win them the title in almost every year.
Alonso's Leverkusen just equalled Bayern's record for the most unbeaten games of a German team in all competitions in a row (31, previously held by Flick's sextuple winning Bayern alone - although it's BL, CL, Cup for Flick and "only" BL, EL, Cup for Alonso). That's really not Tuchel's fault
What is Tuchel's fault, however, is that Bayern have been carried almost exclusively by the individual brilliance of their players and that one would struggle to name them having more than a handful of truly good performances this season.
This run was always coming, they have been playing like crap and are only starting to be found out.
I know that such comparisons are very popular, but the problem with it is that you are comparing points averages between different years, therefore against completely different opponents with different squads, coaches etc.
The differences can be quite significant from one year to another which teams like Stuttgart show.
His managerial career in the past 2 years can be summed up in one episode: "Thomas goes Tuhel"
His bundesliga record this season isn't bad it just happened to face Xabi Alonso's Bayer who had been incredible. The last 3 games have been an horror show for them and I wouldn't be surprised if he's sacked at this point.
