Manchester United v. Watford

That and he hates United. It must have actually hurt him to see us destroy Roma.

I'm not one to wish bad things one people. But I hope he trips over his shoe laces.

with a hatred like that, I'm sure the sight of the 7-1 score has inflicted enough trauma already especially after the Oshea heart-breaker at Anfield

That's true.

I will have to tone down my bad wish against him then.

In that case I hope his internet experiences some technical difficulties.

Please play the strongest team. Rest players after we put the game away.

Watching Watford's most recent game I was struck by how important Foster is to them. Not only does he make important saves to shore up a weak defense, but he is their marshal who aggressively distributes the ball to set up their attacks. Foster not playing for them is a big blow to their chances. He has been crucial to their success this season.

Giggs will be itching to start - but I can see him coming off early if we're well ahead.

I think we should keep the momentum going, so...

--------------------VDS---------------------

O'SHEA/EVRA--RIO----------BROWN---HEINZE

RONALDO---SCHOLES------CARRICK----GIGGS

-----------SMITH----------ROONEY----------

Cathcart being a CB isn't going to be introduced at RB if John isn't fit. Despite the wonderful Roma performance Scholes must surely return - Fletcher makes an ideal solidifying substitute if we're ahead, Ole could perform his magic from the bench if needed.

We just need to be sharp enough for this one, though I can't see us scoring such a high percentage of our attempts that often.

On his match prediction page 'lawro' predicts we'll win 2-0 just about week.

We've won 2 games 2-0 all fecking season, 1 of them against Liverpool.

Smith - Dong
Richardson - Scholes - Fletcher - Solskjaer
Heinze - Brown - Ferdinand - Evra
Van der Sar

Kuszczak, Carrick, Rooney, Giggs, Ronaldo

I think this team would do it. I don't think for a second that we would loss with that first eleven.

I hope our bench looks like this today:
VDS, Rio, Giggs, Rooney, Ronaldo

Heard Saha maybe fit

Team would be
PIG
O'shea?, Brown, Heinze, Evra
Fletcher, Scholes, Carrick, Ol'e
Smith, Saha
If o'shea is injured then try Cathcart (give the lad a game he's been doing well in the reserves)
Heinze could try the CM roll to give Rio a rest
Evra to get back to match fitness
Carrick had a rest during the England games
If anything goes wrong that bench should be able to come on and turn it around.
Didn't have a position for Richardson not even on the bench, imagine a guy with his lack of skills and footballing ability could end up with a CP medal, FA medal and a Premier medal and he shouldn't even be playing in the prem.

Just ordered Viasat Sport 1-3 just to see this game :D

I think we`ll start like this:

-----------VdS----------

O`Shea--Rio-Wes--Heinze

Ronaldo-Scholes-Fletch-Giggs

--------Rooney-Ole-------

Smith played a full 90 against Roma, so he might be rested. I`m thinking SAF might start Richardson ahead of Giggs but fingers crossed. Fletcher will start, while Carrick sits one out.

As far as I can see we`ve never beat Watford more than 2-0 in the FA Cup before, today we will.

Pred: 3-0 Rooney,Ronaldo,Rio

Smith does not need to be rested, rather the opposite, he should be playing as many games as possible. If Saha does not contribute much to the run-in, then we need Smith to be up to speed with the team and fully match fit.

Play them all, then take off players if/when we are in a comfortable position.

And Richardson should not be anywhere near the starting 11. He has had his chance to impress and he has failed.

im not the biggest fan of richardson, but to be fair it would be good to rest giggs and maybe play richardson?!

surely if he still played shite today then he should stay the fekk away from the first team - but to be fair i think he should play this one... i may be wrong and even if he does play well, most will still think it doesnt mean anything because we're playing watford, but nontheless it would hopefully give him some confidence :wenger:

thanks for the clarification, imagine if Liverpool had beaten Roma in such fashion, the wanking over that would've been endless, fecking hypocrites.

They're wankers Red, absolute wankers. They think because of their history that they are the best team in England. The only reason they rely so heavily on their history is because their recent past and present is nothing to write home about. Try tell them about this fact and they'll go off on clueless tangents.

I just can't wait for the day that we win 1 more league than they have and 1 more European Cup / Champions League final than they have. Then they will have absolutely NOTHING to cling to and will HAVE to admit that United are a superior side

Giving Giggs a rest is obviously a good thing. But this is a FA CUP semi-final and in my opinion Richardson does not deserve to play in it. He was put on when the score was 6-1 or 7-1 against a team that was dieing for the final whistle, yet he still managed to misplace at least 5 passes. I'd rather we play Ronaldo on the left and Ole on the right, Richardson should not play.

I don't understand how united fans are called glory hunters, when all you hear are Liverpool fans going on about what they have won.

You don't hear united fans going around saying "Ha, Arsenal, you've only won 13 league titles, whereas we've got 15 of em"

Good line up, surprised to see Heinze in the middle. Suspect it might be Evra at right back and Wes in the middle though.

Evra will play at right back. Fergie doesnt seem to like Heinze at centre half and he wont change his centre-back pairing when both are fit - first rule of good management.

Good lineup though.

That sound more likely

For once I find myself disappointed that we've started with such a good lineup

Obviously you don't want too many changes but I reckon we could have rested Giggs atleast today. I'm praying we don't get a needless injury to someone like Ronnie.

Glad Smith starts though :D
