I will lose my shit if we appoint Southgate and go back to supporting Crewe fulltime until he is gone.
I don't get the angst in here and the slagging of Ineos
The season happened, we finished 8th and won the FA Cup and ETH went on holiday
Those are the only facts, every other part of this is made up by the journalists, the review, the potential sacking everything
The club haven't and don't need to say a word, we don't even know how the season has been viewed internally
I'm hoping Ineos say nothing and we make some signings will mug the crap journos right off
of course they need to say something, and they definitely will. The fans deserve some clarity.
Why? The club hasn't indicated they are going to sack him, so the manager has a contract as it stands, no need to say anything
They have though and they cant get away with saying nothing. It's a PR shitstorm they created and have to do something about either way.

Has the club ever said they are considering his position? For all we know, it’s business as usual. That’s how warped the media world is.

Well maybe they have made a decision….he stays
A club will never publicly say that they are considering the manager's position. They will only say something when the manager is actually sacked.Has the club ever said they are considering his position? For all we know, it’s business as usual. That’s how warped the media world is.
Reputable journalists have reported we're going to sack him and have been approaching other managers, which has led to weeks of intense speculation from fans. The fans are divided on the subject and the debate left unfettered inevitably becomes toxic.
This isn't something you can just ignore and it will go away, a line should be drawn under it so fans can move on and get behind the manager (should he be staying).
The journalists that have reported it are known not to have direct links to the club. Just important to flag that, because it's obvious their sources would be agents of potential candidates who have a vested interest in putting uncertainty out there.Reputable journalists have reported we're going to sack him and have been approaching other managers, which has led to weeks of intense speculation from fans. Yes, if Ten Hag actually gets to stay that will happen.Somehow, I doubt that fans are expecting the club to give public backing. But it can be done via briefing to the regular club mouth pieces.
Reputable journalists? Bless you
I am sitting with Brazza (Hasan Salihimidzic), he is flabbergasted how we are slow. I am dreading Southgate.

Brazza is my family, he saved my ass when was war in Bosnia. Is Brazza for sacking Ezza?
I never really thought they had a clue.
Every sport team they've invested in has got worse, or even dropped off the face of the earth.
When I’ve had a bad day, I come here to read this thread. Why wouldn't they be? I'm looking at some of the responses here and the hysteria is laughable. Enough people will believe anything.
But weren't there also some fundamental errors like the donut midfield ? Which was simply, fundamentally negligent and unnecessary.Sorry mate, but this is a stupid post. Yes, ETH was stubborn beyond reason at times, but injuries were a genuine problem. If you cannot understand that playing in a certain way requires certain players then I’m sorry for you.
Is Erik still here??
I thought that the highly reputable Guardian stated that he would be sacked after the FA Cup Final regardless of the result![]()

Don't be like that.

If he does not get sacked then nothing has been dragged out.I dont think anyone could really have predicted it would be dragged out this long.

More articles in the Guardian?Do you honestly think that's really the case? If that was the case, then why not go one better and tell everyone how much you believe in him and back him? Even discuss a new contract? Ten Hag said himself he doesn't know if he'll still be here, and there's been more articles saying he is still in the dark. Of course they would have nipped this in the bud a long time ago if they truly believed in him.
Definitely think Ineos want to keep him and are using these Southgate rumours to scare the ETH out fans into submission.
Waiting to see how the Euros go. If he wins, they hire him, if he loses they say the review concluded Ten Hag was the right man. Bulletproof plan. No one will be wiser - watch Tuchel or Poch announced next week![]()
