Because my post was about an article that was printed in a respected newspaper that stated Erik would be sacked straight after the Final regardless of the result and that was not true.
I have not stated anything on whether I think he should stay or not.

From the start of all this Ineos have always said they want to communicate more with the fans and they have done.
If anything this shows that it's out of the ordinary for them not to have said anything.
What have they communicated?
Still in the dark over Greenwood?
They have said nothing about Erik so he is still under contract?
They may have talked more but still have said nothing really.

Why do people keep asking this same question when the answer is obvious and never changes? No one with half a brain would want Southgate managing us whether he'd won 0 or 3 international titles. When his only club achievement is relegating Middlesborough.
Oh of course fan sentiment will change if he manages us and starts out doing an Ole job with a couple of counterpunch wins over the likes of Arsenal or Liverpool. And then plenty of United fans will worship him, if he even marginally improves us from 8th and negative goal difference will be enough to get an army of professional excuse-makers behind him.
To be honest with how competitive the league is I think he'd do 2 steps worse than ETH and take us down to where relegation is no longer a joke. Like Chelsea under Lampard.
Personally, no. Even at their best under Southgate England has been a tepid team to watch. He doesn’t seem to get them playing entertaining football and has been extremely pragmatic.
That is acceptable to a point (e.g. grinding out 1-0 wins to secure the league) but over a course of the season I watch football to be entertained. As much as winning things is important I also want Utd to do it the ‘right way’. I want us to be such a bloody good team to watch that even the press and fans of other teams admire us. I want us to break goal scoring records and play with flair and creativity.
Still a big NO. You do know that international football is different right? Football club like us have 50-60 games a season. The job is 24/7-365 and the pressure at Man Utd is extremely high. Most important of all, we want modern attacking football which is exactly what Southgate is not.
Why couldnt we have gone for a well travelled and available immediately football director like Mitchell, or any of the others we were linked to.

They've been communicating with everyone a million times more than the fecking Glazers have since they've been here that is a fact.

Mitchell has only been a football director for 18 months longer than Ashworth.

Mitchell has done that role one time in his career, with questionable results.
Ashworth had the same role at Brighton as well as Newcastle, but just had a different title.
If we believe Ashworth is the best option, it's the right decision to wait for him even if it does hurt a little in the short-term.

In past years more often than not English managers were really good at club level before they got the England job and that has definitely not been the case with Southgate.

The INEOS review is the De Jong saga of reviews. We'll get into pre-season and it will still be "ETH awaits fate through INEOS review".
The club briefed the media that they were conducting an end of season review and that ETH's future would be discussed and that no decision had been made yet. Not sure why some feel like the club can just keep quiet if he is staying.
This is part of PR, you don't leave everyone in the dark and you don't brief about this review if you don't want people to expect a follow up. The club don't have to issue a statement but they will have been asked for comment by the and simply not answered.

They could sack him at any point in the next year and it would still be after the FA Cup final.

We played 60 odd games last season. So that graph must have been knocked up early this season to account for the extra 15-20 games.
No idea what time period they are actually comparing or how Klopp managed so many more games. But as this season went on and our results generally got worse and worse. It's easy to imagine why the graph was never updated.
INEOS may be waiting for Southgate’s German Euro adventure to end before announcing him as manager. They will need extra security on the ground as fans will revolt.

If Ineos wanted him sacked, he would have already been gone. All our supposed replacements are free agents bar Southgate. It makes 0 sense to have this long and drawn out "analysis" only to sack the manager.
If they wanted a replacement, ETH would have already been sacked and the replacement confirmed. So far it's quiet on all fronts, which indicates that the manager's agents aren't being contacted and talks aren't ongoing.
As such, I think Erik stays and this whole "we are conducting an analysis" is just PR to give you a good impression of how competent Ineos is.

It’s more than likely that like Conte, ETH is being stubborn about his pay off.

Yep. Silence isn't really an option. Even if ETH is staying, he deserves some sort of briefing/statement from the club backing him. We'll definitely get something when a decision has been made, either directly or indirectly.

There are really only three acceptable outcomes, either an announcement of mutual termination, a new contract or one year extension triggered. The latter, while probably preferable, is unlikely though.
Given the type of attention this has gotten and their famous review process, and the crap Ten Hag has had to endure in the build up to the FA Cup, it would be very strange if it ended in anything other than a termination or new contract.
Silence is an option. It shows EtH position was never in question in the first place and it was all media speculation which was ignored. Absolutely no need to release statements that we have actually decided to keep EtH - it will add fuel to the fire and would show it was in question.
The journos have gone from 100% sacked, to review next week finishing soon, to barely making comments about it. A complete back down.
And to be quiet honest, the only frenzy I see about this is on this forum anyway.
I hate to break it to you, but Ten Hag's position is in fact very much in question. Everyone knows it, everyone has known it for months, and therefore even in the event Ten Hag gets to stay there absolutely will be some kind of notification. Not a club statement, for the reasons you name, but likely a press briefing that will let noone in the dark.
