Manchester United vs. Reading FC - Sun 12/08/2007 (16:00 BST)

Yes! Please Please let him stop. I have said this for 2 years now.

I don't know why we persist in letting him, maybe he scores with them all the time in training.

I don't know what we can do, especially if with Tevez and Hargreaves on the pitch Fergie stills let Ronaldo take them!

I do't think a petition would solve anything.

This is another idiot that needs deleting

I just hope Rooney is ok. Fergie said he wasn't sure, his going for a scan tomorrow.

Wish had abit of "luck" Liverpool and Arsenal had this weekend  Villa deserved a draw, so did Fulham  feck OFF READING

Christ.

Please can he be deleted?

What have I said? Because I'm a bit frustrated? And I don't think I'm saying anything bad. I haven't said that we've lost the league. I just said that the things are difficult now. Beong overly optimistic isn't the right thing to do either.;)

ill second that

Well it wasn't me that was drooling over Liverpool yesterday. And the thing "it's not about me" means that I'm not like the muppets that want to commit suicide. As you should know, even professional athletes like our player need a psychological boost and today they looked devasted. I understand that this is just the first game but anw I can't do anything for it. I'm not part of the team. The players are, and they need to be in a good mental and physical condition in order to succeed.

My mistake then just getting a little agitated with all the WUMS bitching all the time, the season has just started for crying out loud.

i echo your early season sentiments.

what fecks me off to high heaven is this we have saha attitude...

the cnut has not been fully fit consistently for us since he joined.

he is our only recognised striker.

full stop.

we need to, despite his promise when he is fit once in a blue moon, feck him off and get someone in who can deal with week to week premiership football and be fit

i won't bother replying to your post other than to say you are an idiot

I agree with you, for our "goal scorer" Saha just isnt consistent enough and he is made of pasta, as soon as hes fit we should slap a price tag on him haul him out to someone else and try to get someone back who is more reliable and as you say ready for week in week out football.

unfortunately, its true

im not blaming saha for his lack of fitness

but at the end of the day people dont realise that saha aint played in 5 months...

its going to take him 5 or 6 even 8 games to get himself into it and thats if he stays fit, too long.

a shame but he just aint up to it

this is bollocks - behind city, liverpool, the barcodes already!!

SAF, rooney, giggs, scholes, anderson, tevez, neville...charlton - they can all feck off as far as I'm concerned

Its the opening game of the season,no doubt will give our players an early kick up the arse,we didnt play bad,20 shots to 2,it just didn't happen..

get over it,we will have other games like that, and many many games where we maybe dont deserve a win but sneak it...

calm down some of you...please:boring::)

Bring on the rest of the season I say, we still have 37 games to prove to everyone why we are the Champions and I have every faith that we will be walking away with that title again this year.

I'm confident as well despite what many in here think. I just hope that the players are in the right psychological condition and that they are determined to do defend the title. However, even today we looked very determined but we just had to break a ten men defence. When other teams do the same are going to be able to unlock their defence? Also Sir Alex said that the reason we won the PL is because we had a good start and we kept ourselves in front all the time. I hope that Tevez is fit enough to score many goals and that Scholes and Giggs return to their usual selves.

Btw, can you tell me the final possession in this game?

Final possession was Manchester United 74.7 Reading 25.3

God... That's ridiculous...

It's just bad luck.

As long as our players take some positives from it (we had some very nice approach play) and don't put their heads down we'll be alright.

If Rooney had stayed on I think we'd have won it, but he didn't. In the future we'll have a striker, because the chances of that happening again, and happening when there's no one on the bench, are incredibly slim.

And somehow I don't think the team will be putting their heads down and moping -- we have a manager who'll make pretty damn sure that won't happen. And we've got some quality characters in our squad, too, who I don't think will allow it to happen, either.

we had to buy a striker as simple as that, we bought one and sold 2. excellent work SAF.

me'sa thinks we're seeing another roy keane situation here... fergie never replaced keano properly till he fecked off
maybe same with ole, won't buy another till he goes... natrual evoloution would say bye bye to ole and saha (eventually) and hello to Dong and Campell..
