You have to be joking? Why are we starting him in a usless european group stage game? We have Chelsea on Sunday and he should only be used as a sub in this game. Unreal.
I imagine it will be for Match fitness, to get him ready for the game against Chelsea. Makes sense to me, although i would'nt start him.
The more reason to think he'll be involved soon, especially against Portuguese opposition.
