Premier League
Old Trafford
KO - 16:00

May there be more than one goal. ;)

Bloody hell that was quick. I bet you've been waiting all day to do that, haven't you?

Not exactly [well just a little ;)], imagined someone would've done it by now actually. I hope to bring some good fortune our way [And to the superstitious Caf].

Well as long as you know if we dont win it'll all be your fault ;)

3-0 Tevez, Rooney to score.. We will trash them and Rio is going to shine and show Terry whos the man!! I feel confident about this one..

I envision the team being

GK: VDS

RB: Brown
CB: Ferdinand
CB: Vidic
LB: Evra

RM: Ronaldo
CM: Hargreaves/Carrick
CM: Scholes
LM: Giggs

CF: Tevez
CF: Rooney

Going for another 1-0 win Tevez getting his first

Seconded. 2-0 to the Utd. Rooney and Ronaldo.

Not a personally attack on you but I really cant for the life of me understand how anyone can think it's going to be as comfortable as that with 2 players who have never scored against Chelsea scoring the goals

1-1

Someone unexpected, probably Evra or Scholes to scrap a ball across the line for us. Then Chelsea to equalise in the second half with a Terry header from a corner.

And I fully expect Lampard, Drogba and all their other "injured" players to suddenly be fit for this match, despite being predicted lengthy lay-offs.

To be honest mate i did'nt spend 20 minutes thinking about it. They were the people who first came into my head for goals, so really it's my gut instinct. And considering they were our top two goalscorers last season it's probably not a bad bet.

So does that mean that they never will score against them

No but in football there tends to be players who seem to always score against certain teams (Rooney against Arsenal for example) and others that never score against certain teams

Well you must start taking more time thinking through your predictions then ;)

jk

Right then, 4-4-fecking-2, they haven't even got a manager, grow some bollocks Fergie and fecking rush them.

I'll go with Saha, He has more experience on this big matches and his chances of goal are better than Tevez.
Tevez to come in the second half
Hargreaves is the man for this match also, hope he will be fit

A lot of things have changed... maureen has gone now... we play normal and we definitely win...

I hate to say this, but teams whose head coach just sacked always played like super human to us, West Ham last year spring to mind. These games where we were confident of twating them in and out, normally, turned out shit.

Just wanna point that out.

What I'd like to see:
--------------VDS
Brown----Rio----Vidic-----Evra
Ronaldo--Hargreaves---Scholes---Giggs
------------Rooney---Saha

What we'll probably play:
-------------VDS
Brown---Rio----Vidic----Evra
Ronaldo---Carrick---Scholes---Nani
-----------Giggs---Rooney

------------------------VDS--------------------

Brown---------Rio-------------Vidic---------Evra

Ronaldo-------Hargreaves------Scholes----Nani

-----------Rooney------Saha/Tevez---------------

Subs:PIG,Pique,Carrick,Anderson,Saha/Tevez

I don't think we've forgotten necessarily.

Chelsea may well adopt a siege mentality, come out fighitng with some renewed spirit as the past suggests.

But we are at home albeit still looking to find our form, we have a natural instinct to attack and can thrive on an early goal like no other. I'd say, now more than in the vast majority of times when playing an immediate rival from the "Big 4", an early goal might feel like a killer blow like rarely before with Chelsea in their current state.

So if we're fortunate to come by one for one reason or another, we can possibly be more confident in maintaining the lead than in the past.

Of course i could be completely wrong and they're even stronger from it. *shrugs* ;)

Be interesting to see how the players take to Avram Grant and visa versa.

Just got to make sure we don't go out there dismissing Chelsea and aren't complacent about it, but at the same time really have some intensity and urgency to our game from the off. An atmosphere to lift the roof off at OT, though you do normally ge that when playing Chelsea in my experience.

EDIT: Looking back, there iss a lot of unnecessary waffle in that reply. lol

GK: Edwin van der Sar

RB: Wesley Brown
CB: Rio Ferdinand
CB: Nemanja Vidic
LB: Patrice Evra

RM: Cristiano Ronaldo
CM: Paul Scholes
CM: Owen Hargreaves
LM: Ryan Giggs

CF: Carlitos
CF: Wayne Rooney

Bench: Kuszczak, Pique, Nani, Carrick, Saha.

Don't count your chickens lads and lasses, Terry and the boys will be well up for this to show their support to Jose, so should be a cracker. End to end game and we'll have to score more than one to win / draw...!

A lot will depend on the support but United fans will be taking the p!ss and Chelsea sining support for their Xspecial 1 so atmosphere will be red hot..!

We need to be very wary about this game. They will be missing Moronios bumming sessions and will be well fired up and frustrated. We need the mental strength of Scholes, Rooney and Giggs to make sure we dont balls this one up.

I totally agree with you and for my dream team's sake I hope you're right but we've neglected to start Saha thus far so I could see that continuing :(

What we'll probably play:
-------------VDS
Brown---Rio----Vidic----Evra
Ronaldo---Carrick---Scholes---Giggs
-----------Saha---Rooney

With Ronaldo playing basically up front, down the right.

Bring on Hargreaves for Giggs in the sixty-fifth minute.

2-0 Saha, Rooney.

This will be an interesting match if Lampard and Drogba are out.

2-1 us, Rooney and Saha.

Terry to score off a corner or free kick for them.
