Anybody else desperate to punch Mike Riley's stupid face at half time when he was doing his nervous laugh? This is one of the worst refereeing performances I've seen this season and I think he knows it too.
Some positives though... United looked to be building some momentum just before half time. The subs and Pique have all been fine. Tevez is having a very good game.

We started playing decent stuff towards the end. Keep it up and we should win comfortably.

Thought Rooney deserved the yellow to be fair. But we should have had a penalty. Terrible luck with all the injuries, but we're playing well all things considering. Should win this, but my gut feeling is that we won't - this looks like one of those days.
Agreed. We were confused for some minutes after the injuries, but that's understandable. If it wasnt for Riley we would be at 2-0 by now.

Why is out midfield sitting so deep? a couple of times anderson and scholes have dropped so far back there has been no linking with the attack with more than 30 yards of space between them.

Not much of a fixed formation up front. Rooney, Ronaldo, Tevez seem go everywhere. Giggs mostly on the left. Tevez tends to drop very deep
Come on now, Rooney was already on the ground with feet out going for the ball and the other guy slid in getting to the ball a fraction of second before Rooney, his momentum carrying him as Rooney's leg met. Ridiculous yellow. Studs weren't even raised.

It's a wierd formation we're playing; Giggs seems to be anywhere but on the left. Tevez has been good, and Pique has fitted in very well. I'm confident we'll win by a goal or two come ninety minutes

Scholes has been excellent, and just randomly, Evra's recovery challenge where Scharner was just about to score was outstanding.
