Scum v Soup Chuckers (Oct 28th)

You are deluded if you dont think it will be extremley difficult to win next week.

i never said it would be easy. But based on our current form it is well within our ability to win. It will be a tough game, as are all games between the big 4.

I don't really get the Arse wankfest today.

They were not that exceptionally good.

Looks like Alonso has broke his metatarsal....ah well...

Should be a cracking game next week. They are in full flow and we are just purring I think.....I reckon we can do them next week though.

Arse have got some difficult fixtures in December.

Sat. 1 17:15 UK Aston Villa v Arsenal Villa Park English
Wed. 5 19:45 UK Newcastle v Arsenal St James' Park
Sun. 9 13:30 UK Middlesbrough v Arsenal The Riverside
Sat. 22 12:45 UK Arsenal v Tottenham Emirates
Wed. 26 19:45 UK Portsmouth v Arsenal Fratton Park
Sat. 29 17:15 UK Everton v Arsenal Goodison Park

Three away fixtures at the beginning of the month. That really surprises me. Also Spurs, Portsmouth and Everton(latter two away) should test them.

A draw was a fair result. Can't wait for next week, should be a great game.

I would agree. They didn't look that good up front and their main goal threats came from midfield.

And if you consider that the dippers played with a lone unfit striker up front, an unfit Alonso in midfield and Hyppia in defense, the Arse should have done them 4 - 0 if they were that good.

Spurs couldnt test an U-11 Girls team at the moment.

Dunno about a wankfest but not that many teams go to anfield and dominate the game. They should have won today and thats no mean feat. We can take them for sure but credit where credit is due.

The arse often play very well and I am the first to give them due credit.

But I don't think they were that good today.

Yes. Also, you have to say it was a great time to play Liverpool, not exactly been great of late have they, whereas Arsenal like United have been excellent.

Thats a tad excessive no? I think most teams with pretensions to being "good" would be happy with a good performance and a win from that fixture?

Goals alone do not determine how well a team played or how dominant they were. We dominated City earlier in the season but couldnt score.

The fact that Arsenal didnt score more was down to bad luck and because they lack a quality finisher. They hit the post twice, were denied a clear penalty when Carragher was wrestling inside the box, Fabregas missed an open chance on goal and Reina had to make a couple of great saves to deny Adebeyor.

Decent game

Arsenal played them off the park football wise, and would have won easily had they not kept taking time outs in order to act like queens...what's new?

It could happen, but I wouldn't back us to beat Arsenal next week. Wouldn't back anyone to turn them over at the Emirates, just like I wouldn't back anyone to turn United over at OT. Draw would set us up nicely I reckon.

Liverpool arn't very good

With the options that we have on the bench defensively and with OH about I would back us. It's just a case of last time we contained they perfectely well until the players got tired, this time we have an othodox DM and numerous options defensively on the bench despite all of the injuries.

If i can get good odds on us i'd place £20-£30 on us to go there and win.

PS and not just because i'm a degenerate gambler, thats just a coinsidence.

Decent game, a draw was a fair result. Fancy our chances next weekend, but it won't be easy. Have to stop them playing the way Liverpool managed in parts today.

Kuyt is so fecking shite!

I expected a 0-0 draw out of this game (despite everyone predicting how they'd muller us). The one thing any armchair manager can predict is that Arsenal don't like it up 'em. We were breathing down their necks for at least 80 mins of the game, and despite STILL going through a horrendous lack of belief, we were doing alright.

Arsenal don't like playing the game in their half and we made sure we kept them there, even if it meant they kept the ball.

In a normal season I would say this was a great result under the lack of belief we're playing under. However, due to results gone by....its still a good result despite our lack of belief. We're still not out of touching distance from the top. Gerrard's getting some of his game back and Agger/Torres aren't far from starting more games.

What you lot did well was to stop their fullbacks play

You have everything in your armoury to be able to destroy Arsenal. Ferdinand/Vidic can handle Adebayor's strength, you need Hargreaves or someone breathing down Fabregas' neck and pacy strikers that score goals to really put Arsenal's backline under some pressure.

We did most of the above except the goalscoring strikers, so yes Kuyt is dreadfully sh*te. :(

Depends. A key to stop Arsenal is to deny them space in the last third of the pitch for them. That come as a natural part of your game, but it is not a natural part of our game.

Correct. And 2 useless players such as Kyut & Voronin. I never understand Arsenal wankfest here either.

They played you off the park. Your saving grace was the early goal, and the inevitable clowning around in the final third from the Arse when they go behind. Otherwise things might have become embarrassing

I don't think we'll beat them at their place. If we do it'll take a faultless performance and possibly a bit of luck. Either that or them not being at the races

You're giving them too much credit and respect.

Hopefully, our players don't go there next weekend with the same mindset as you...

Dumpstar, you're a very gracious scum supporting fan, and who's quite objective. Wish there were more opposition fans like you who gives credit where its due...

A caveat here is that my opiniions of you are based on the above post. Not sure whether you've been a twat in other posts...Well done.

Don't rub it in!

I'm spitting blood already as it is.

Fabregas was nowhere when Alonso was on the pitch.

Unfortunate.

Its being under-mentioned in all this hyperbole, but Alonso was the best passer all day today. He kept us ticking and made a pleasant change from Sissoko's adventures. Its not a surprise we're doing quite sh*t while he's been out. :(

It is, considering how you lot have gone on about what a great set of midfielders you have.

By the way, did you notice how bloody fecked and knackered your players looked for the last ten minutes?
