Carrick should definitely start, in place of Hargreaves.
I don't get why everyones so quick to bench Carrick all of a sudden. Hargreaves has played well, but we cannot bench Carrick game after game because sooner or later, he'll be unhappy. Plus, we simply do not need Hargreaves against a team like Derby. Anderson however has been the standout of the three midfielders and should not be dropped, we saw what happen against Bolton.
Mainly because Chelsea game apart Carrick just hasn't hit the same form as last season, that's why I'd carry on playing Hargreaves

How can you expect a person to hit form when they don't get a run of games.
We don't need a defensively minded central midfielder for this game, and I think this would be a perfect game for Carrick to gain some confidence.
Even if he plays shite, we're still going to crush Derby, so I don't really see a problem with playing Carrick.

Would just be typical for Derby to get a draw. No one in the world expects it. Should be at least 4-0. Would take a 1-0 though.
Carrick should definitely start over Hargreaves. This isn't in any shape or form the type of game we need a player like Owen to play. We'll be looking to score double figures, and Carrick's passing could come in handy, as opposed to Hargreaves' aimless running around.
