I could never understand why the rules were changed to make life easier for the keepers.
 
Yeh, ronaldo's a twat - but this is football, not the last steak on the plate....

We should have a rule that one guy and one guy only takes the penalty. No switching around, hattricks or not.
 
i also am a bit disappointed with ronnie
he dives which will embrassing saf who protects him by saying he wont dive
in addition, the penalty should be taken by teves as we already are leading by 3-1 in the injury time
anyway i am happy to win the game
i am not moaning because it is a discuss forum for us to express our views

It was such a frustratingly weird game... Oh well, we won and this all that counts! However, Ronaldo shouldn't have dived and at least he should have let Tevez complete his hat-trick. I guess he doesn't want other people to score 3 goals in one game!
 
You lot are overreacting...remember chelsea when saha won the penalty? Ronnie let him take the peno then. I would have thought that if tevez won the pen, ronaldo would've let him take it - i'm sure of it.

He won the penalty and he took it. No qualms. Fact is he wants to beat last season's tally, so I don't see the problem. I hope he tops this season scoring charts.

I just think most other players would have left it for Tevez.

But to be honest, I'm far more pissed off about the dive, he really doesn't have to do it.
 
Didn't Ronaldo let Saha take it against Chelseas or was he already off?
Saha won the penalty there and got to take it in this instance Ronaldo won it and is the best penalty taker in the team and probably league.
He was denied against Fulham and got a yellow, things even themselves in football.

It's a part of the game, sadly. Not sure any forward in the world would give the penalty to someone else.
 
When was the last time the Premiership was decided on goal difference?? Never! So shut up about goal difference over Liverpool it wont come down to that.

Id be happy if Liverpool have a massive goal difference as long as we are at the top of the Premiership come the end of the season.

Unfortunately your right there. But Ronnie has done so well to cut that out of his game, so to do it in the last minute when we were 3-1 up is plain stupid, especially after what happened on Monday night.

maybe the prem hasnt but i seem to remember the spl coming down to it a few years back.

This is professional football lads. Ronaldo is the first choice pen taker. He earned the pen so again this is a mute point.

Now if this was at the end of the game and giggsy still was on 99 and giggs asked to take it

then ronaldo should allow it.

Tevez hasnt done enough for this club for any of you to slag ronaldo off
 
Ronnie hasn't dived for along time, then he goes and fecks it up today :mad:

His gonna get slated on MOTD tonight, and for another 6 months by football supporters. Fergie needs to have ANOTHER word with him about the diving.
