Barclays Premier League
Anfield
Sunday 16th December 2007
KO - 13:30 GMT

Team should be....

GK: VDS

RB: Brown
CB: Ferdinand
CB: Vidic
LB: Evra

RM: Cristiano
CM: Hargreaves
CM: Anderson
LM: Giggs

CF: Tevez
CF: Rooney

Both Chelsea and Arsenal have drew at Anfield so far and I reckon we'll do the same :( 0-0

Bigger at least, probably better too. :) Implemented.

Nobody else been out doing a bit of Xmas shopping tonight then, seeing what Mayor Ken has been up to and such eh?

The logos weren't that bad, thoughi i can take a hint well enough.

As for the game itself, oen goal in it, 0-1, 2-1 maybe.

Now Liverpool are bound to be on a 'Marseillle bounce' if you will. Part of me wonders if Sir Alex might have us hold back for the first quarter of an hour, let the Liverpool wave crash against the United cliff so to speak [though not break through], stand firm, and then really take it to them.

Liverpool will win this. If we don't lose, you guys can call me "That guy who wants to f*ck Peter Crouch". If we WIN, you can call me "Peter Crouch".

Yes, it's true.

My team:

It'll probably be like this:

EvdS - Wes, Rio, Vida, Pat - Ronaldo, Harry Greaves, Anderson, Giggs - Carlitos, Rooney

Bench: PIG, O'Shea, Pique/Nani, Carrick, Saha

Nani should be on the bench, we only need one CM on the bench, and that will be Carrick. Hard one to take for Fletcher but no point putting him on the bench just to please him. Nani is a player who can inject more pace into our game if we are struggling.
O'Shea on the bench instead of Pique aswel, just because he's more versatile and has a tendency with scoring late goals.

Can I just call you "cock sucker"?

I must admit, I'm already nervous, it's always the case before a match with the Dippers, the closer it gets, the more nervous I get.

Looks like Sheasy's out:
John O’Shea is a doubt for Sunday’s trip to face Liverpool after suffering a groin strain during United’s Champions League draw with Roma.

The versatile Irishman, scorer of last season’s dramatic winner at Anfield, sustained the injury late in the first half at the Stadio Olimpico.

“He’s got a groin strain,” Sir Alex Ferguson told Sky Sports after the match. “He got it near half-time when he made a clearance near the goal-line.”

O’Shea was replaced just after the interval by Wes Brown, just moments after Jonny Evans had suffered a late challenge from Ahmed Barusso, who was fortunate to escape with just a booking.

“Jonny got an ankle knock, but was ok and was able to play on,” said Sir Alex. “The second challenge looked a bad tackle and I think he was lucky to get out of that.”

Wayne Rooney captained the Reds in Rome, but Sir Alex was otherwise able to rst a host of big-name players ahead of Sunday’s showdown on Merseyside.

“We took Wayne off with 20 minutes to go, which was perfect for him,” said the manager. “He wanted a game. He didn’t need it but he wanted it, and we were happy to let him play.”

“We’ve got a big game on Sunday, it’s a massive game. Manchester United and Liverpool derbies are always that way. The players who are at home are getting good training sessions in readiness.”

I'm not sure Anderson will start, and who can guarantee that Hargreaves will??

VDS
Brown + the obvious
Ronaldo Carrick Hargreaves Giggs
Tevez Rooney

Giggs off for Nani/O'shea, Carrick off for Fletcher, Tevez off for Saha.

This is a massive game as if we win it L'Pool are probably out of the title hunt. Also as Arse/Chelski will probably draw a win would take us top I think. We will need everyone playing on top of their game. L'Pool will be confident now the CL is out of the way, and Torres is very good. No mistakes lads.

Some Scousers idiots says that Anderson will allow them to control the midfield and that they can handle Ronnie with Mascherano and Super Riise

4-0 United, Rooney (2), Ronaldo, Anderson; Rafa's last game in charge haha

Torres will obviously be the problem but I’m also wondering about how Brown will handle Kewell who appears to be playing well again. If he gets in a nice hard tackle early on, you’ll probably see Kewell limp off like a proper little queer.
I am confident Rio and Vida can handle Torres as long as he doesn’t receive the ball to feet and is allowed to run at them one-on-one as he is so strong in doing that. There will obviously be a lot of emphasis on Hargreaves and/or Anderson controlling the midfield and not allowing Stevie G to get up.
Hopefully, with Tevez rested and fresh for Sunday along with Ronaldo and them, our attacking options will be too much for them despite their recent form. I’m thinking a draw although I never go into match against with a good feeling as the htreat of losing to these scummy twats is overwhelming.
