Ronaldo was absolutely amazing in this corresponding fixture last year, tore Newcastle apart for me its when his amazing run of form really started, cause he has been on fire ever since. I expect him to do it again this year

yep, he scored the rebound after Ronaldo had hit the post and also got a deflection from a vidic shot, Ronaldo was outstanding that game.

Newcastle are in shitstreak at the moment, but you never know what they could do if they decide to put on a battling performance for their manager.
Duff, Owen, Martins and Viduka represents a very credible threat and with Smith and Butt wanting to play well in midfield against their old club, it won't be easy.
That said, their defensive deficiencies should ensure a win.

I think Ronaldo will be rested after playing all of our 4 games during the christmas period + FA-Cup game. Also played 24 of our 28 games this season (3 games suspension from Pompey game + rested in Rome).
