Manchester United vs West Ham

--------------------Van Der Sar------------------

--Brown-----------Rio----------Vidic-------Evra--

--Ronaldo-------Carrick------Anderson------Nani--

-----------------Tevez-----Berbatov--------------

Prediction: 2-0 Tevez, Ronaldo

Berba for Rooney and there!

I didn't even know Tristan had a trial at West Ham, never mind signed for them.

There's no way he'll be match fit.

He had a two week trial a couple of weeks back. Pretty awesome player - four or five years ago!

Its reaching desperation time I fear - Cole out for three games, Ashton unlikely to be back until March the earliest (according to reliable sources) and a dead-slow Di Michele. Only need another injury to Bellamy and we are well and truly fecked.

And you think you have problems trying to decide whether Berbatov, Rooney or Carlos should play up front!

West Ham have lost their last 3 matches now - Zola's looking out of his depth, although I suppose having Carlton Cole up front smacks of desperation...

Although West Ham are traditional bogeys, I think West Ham's form is too poor and I think we'll win by 2 goals, although we'll have to work hard for it.

Cue "Nani sucks" comments within 2 minutes of full-time, even if we win.

Nani sucks! :D Just thought I'd get that in before the deluge of goals on Robert Green's goal commences!

Reserving judgement on Zola right now...started off with two consecutive wins, since then a pony display from the team against Bolton, a game we really should have won against Hull, given the chances we had (and then against a team who seem to play without fear at the moment), and a much improved display against probably the best passing side in Europe right now.

I don't expect us to win, a draw is possible but unlikely, and a defeat the most likely outcome...but by how many, I don't know. And that's the beauty of supporting a team who aren't expected to win every game they play. We could get tanked like a few years back (7-1) if I painfully remember rightly, or a piece of inspiration a la Di Canio, Defoe or Carlos might just happen.

On a seperate issue - when was the last time we played each other in a mid-week league game? Can't remember one for a very long time.

VDS
NEVILLE Rio Vidic Evra
Nani Fletcher GIGGS Ronaldo
Rooney TEVEZ

Neville should get a go after Browns' below par performance against Everton. Giggs has been fantastic lately and seems to be thriving in the middle. Berbatov didnt play well last game so Tevez should get a go. Expect to see Berba make some kind of appearance though. Same with Anderson and Carrick.
We will win 3-0. Rooney,Nani,Ronaldo with Tevez playing a blinder to keep his spot.

Fergie will play Berba and Rooney upfront, leave Tevez benched, Fletcher will grab a goal somewhere, they'll get a goal from a setpiece, Rooney will get our winner.

Tevez will come on in the 83rd min, with a whopping 9mins to get into the game and stake his claim for starting XI, won't score so won't change Fergies opinion.

Nani will make about 4 mistakes and the caf will hate him

Ronaldo won't look over the moon with a 2-1, so someone will make a thread about him being off to Madrid in January.

Simple as that really.

Tevez will get his chance when the time comes. I'd have to start with Berbatov and Rooney for this one though. Minus the Everton second half both have been in fantastic form of late.

If Tevez does start, I'd prefer it if he replaced Rooney and not Berbatov.

What are the chances of us playing Ronaldo, Tevez, Rooney and Berbatov altogether in this game anyway? I'm sure we'll try it at some point.

Tevez needs to play; plain and simple.

I think he should play, purely for rotational purposes. I can't believe the amount of people that make a comment like yours before every game though about him 'needing' to play.

A load of crap really...

Well it depends if he means in terms of whether Tevez will be off next summer, which is quite likely if he sits on the bench all season:wenger:

Late March 2006 at OT, Van Nistelrooys last home goal for the club in a 1-0 win.

I think this is the 1st time I've seen that here.

Everyone above us draws tonight, and we beat West Ham with two late goals. I'm gonna say both from Ronaldo, don't know why though.

Am I being a bit soft by saying I'm not looking forward to how cold I'm going to be tonight?

Its fecking freezin'
Get a United scarf and beanie! And get a pint down you! (Or a brew!)

why are we not on tv tonight ffs.

Arsenal vs Tottenham is the bigger game sadly, massive derby so we can't complain too much. But Setanta should've had it, or something. I think Sky should just do what they do on Champions League nights, and let us pick which game we want to watch (although I have pissing Virgin Media so I wouldn't be able to anyway lol).

I'd love it if the Quartet (Ronaldo, Rooney, Berba, Tevez) played the whole game.

I will be happy at the final whistle when we have won 6-0

Where is your usual three paragraphs preview of the match?

Can't be arsed today, takes me a week to write it, only had a few days this time :(

Didn't think anyone ever read the whole thing anyway lol

If you are talking about "heinzsight", then i agree with you

He went to the trouble to create a pictured formation and then leaves out Rio and VDS and puts Tevez in LM position. Clueless...

Ha Ha! Easy now son. I reckon he'll play Kuszak (typical game for him to come in for in Fergie's eyes) and Rio needs a kick up the arse after Saturday's performance and i reckon he'll go with Tevez wide switching it with Rooney...

I'll be amazed if you're correct.

Well, I had a dream last night , we won 3-0, cant remember the first 2 scorers but Raphael scored the third with a cracking shot. Yes, it is sad that I dream about United and football but worth a 10 euro bet, I think!
