Give Rooney until 65 - 70 minutes, if its not working, then bring on Carlos.

Frustrating yet wonderful game so far.
 
I tought we played quite well. Our finishing is pants, though.

Anderson, Carrick and Ronaldo all played well.

For anyone who isn't looking at the game and are reading this idiots post, pay no heed. It's a fecking great game of ball. Both teams are playing very well and the goal was a tough deflection. Bring on the second half !

Get Berbatov into the game. From the few tricks and flicks so far, he looks like he could be on it, but he just isn't involved enough. Someone tell him it's fecking idiotic to try and bring the ball down in your own crowded penalty area

Neville is getting dicked on down that right hand side, I'd be tempted to switch Park over there and give him some protection

Anderson has to step up, barely involved first half. They were getting through him so easily. Carrick had a brilliant first 20 odd, since they scored more and more passes have gone astray. Hopefully he'll gather himself for the 2nd half

We're still well in the game, there's was enough we did good that first half to tell me this game is still ours to win if we want it enough. I wouldn't change any personel just yet

Seems to be confusion between Vidic and Rio as to who's supposed to be picking up Bendtner, it's a bit silly that their one gigantic centre forward is left dandering around in space between the two of them when crosses are put in
 
If we put enough quality balls into the box one of Silvestre, Clichy or Gallas are likely to cock it up and put it in their own net. Calamity waiting to happen. Unfortunately most of the balls have ended up with Rooney instead.

As for Tevez, it might be asking a bit much to throw him on and expect him to instantly gel with Berbatov given that he's not played much with him and Berbatov likes to play in his position. Might be why he was forced to lead the line next to Giggs midweek, in preperation for having to do it next to Berbatov.
 
Rooney has not been half as bad as some are making out, he has put in a couple of neat balls in behind the defence, forced a realy good save from the keeper and we should have had a pen from his cross. The only think wrong was the miss which was a shocker but still. The team is playing well and we should get back in to it.
 
I agree, pass to Berbatov more often. Rooney looks like he's trying too hard again.

edit: this is the perfect tome for Berba to shine, as the Arsenal kids aren't really getting stuck in.

With those crossed balls Adebayor would have had at least 2. Lucky for us he wasnt available.

Poor finishing is all that has denied us from taking a substantial lead into the half time period.

Van der Sar has been really atrocious. I am losing all confidence in him. What the feck was he thinking punching that ball out?
 
I think we have played fantastic so far. If we had a little more composure in front of goal we would laughing.
 
I fail to see what part of the Arse side is second string, bar the two frontmen.

Yes, we started to slowly click again just before the wistle. Hopefully, the strikers will improve in the second half.

And, what has happened to Ronnie - simply doesn't want to beat a defender these days, he's willing to pass rather than beat anyone.
