Predicted line-up:

Ronaldo

It's Godzilla running after an airplane on Villa's badge.

Some people don't get irony.

It's not particularly funny but I could say 'whooooosh' to at least 5 people here.

This thread is brilliant. I'd like him to do them all from now on.

very nice :)

I'm feeling a 0-2 victory. Ronaldo to score from two free kicks..

------------------------ VDS ----------------------
Albert Morgan --- Rio -------- Vidic -------- Evra
Ronaldo ----- Fletcher?/Ando ----- Carrick --- Nani
---------------- Tevez -------- Rooney ------------

Bench: PIG, Rafael, JOS, Giggs, Possebon, Berb, Welbeck.

haha, brilliant. lets keep this one:lol:

very very tough game coming up. I always expect a tough game against villa and I have a feeling the owe us a beating!

A lot of teams owe us a beating, doesn't mean they get it. Villa always seem to be our younger brother who lets us bully them all the time. I don't think this will be any different. They are inconsistent and players like Ashley Young bottle it against top teams e.g today.

They do bottle it big time against us, but their confidence is going to be sky high following there win at Arsenal. It's going to be a great attacking game from both sides I think.:D

So will Carew be back for the game do we know?

Oh and why does the ship in the United crest have a lampshade instead of a sail? lol

Should be a good attacking game and one I feel we need to win. Aston Villa are one of the few sides capable of matching all the big teams going forward this season, I can see them taking more points off the top four as the season goes along. Hopefully, we can perform as well as we have in our past games.

Them beating Arsenal at the Emirates should be a great boost for them, unfortunately. However, hope we play with some aggression throughout the whole match, never let go off the pedal, and just stick a couple past them. Support will be great too, always hear the United fans at Villa Park really well, so I'm looking forward to hearing them roar us on to victory.

No idea who's going to be fit or not, but basing myself on today's game I'd go with:

-------------VDS

--O shea -- Rio -- Vida -- Evra

Ronaldo - Carrick - Fletch - Park

--------- Tevez --- Berbatov

2-1 win to us.

PS: Fantastic opening post as well :D

So will Carew be back for the game do we know?

Does not look like they are sure if he will recover in time but he was on the bench today. The following was said by O'Neill before the Arsenal game:

"John is really struggling at the moment,"

"The discomfort seems to have moved from his back to the front thigh area. He is in discomfort, we will see."

Carew was visibly struggling towards the end of the Uefa Cup win against Slavia Prague in the Czech Republic last week, but O'Neill remains optimistic that his absence will be a short one.

"He had scans that have come up pretty decently. He is going for tests now with the specialist, so we will see accordingly,"

I actually think them beating Arsenal will help us.

After losing to both Newcastle and then Middlesbrough, this will have taken some of the pressure off them. I think if they'd have lost today they'd have tried even harder for a win when we play them.

VDS

Rafael/Brown (if fit)
Vidic
Evans/Ferdinand (if fit)
Evra

Park
Carrick
Anderson/Fletcher (if fit)
Ronaldo

Tevez/Rooney (if fit)
Berbatov

Subs: feck knows, whoever not injured and not knackered after the stooopid internationals.

Both us and Villa are playing at home, so it's hard to predict the result :)
