Manchester United v Sunderland

Why would he stay when 4 goals and 1 assist and the best performance he could possibly have put in, isnt enough to dislodge one of two strikers who have hardly been on fire in recent weeks?

It beggars belief that people expect him to have so little ambition.

Mcfeckwit strikes again...

So why didn't he sign a player as cover, instead of a Tevez replacement?

Face it, Fergie sees more in the Berbatov-Rooney partnership than in Rooney-Tevez. In fact, Tevez didn't even start many of the biggest matches last season.
You always try to get the best players available, no matter how good a team already is.
That had nothing to do with Tevez but with our system and midfield.

Can somebody pm me a sopcast link, or to the livefooty sopcast stream for the game, won't load for me through the main site :(

Cheers

Don't see your point here - if Tevez-Rooney were such a good partnership, Fergie wouldn't have broken them up. To me, that seems obvious.

Anyway, game's on a minute so I'll leave it there.

Lets hope we get an early goal and set the tone for a great performance with many goals.

Come on lads!!!!!!!!

Add his Champs League goals too. And its about the partnership with Rooney.
Tevez isn't as good as Rooney and Berbatov, Tevez's form up until Blackburn hasn't been very good at all.

I see your point but that's not enough imo. He's a striker and will have to score goals, no matter what.

He started the 3 biggest ones. ;)

Even put in a MOTM performance in one of them.

He has 2 goals that shouldnt have been against Celtic, and 2 against a poor Alborg side. I'm sorry, but he really should have more then that.

Your opinion.

His form was great when he was in the team. The he was out of hit and it got poor. Hardly his fault now is it?

He always needed to buy another striker, and as Berbatov cost 30m, he had to play him and ease him in as quick as possible.

My point remains though, he's a striker and should score goals, which he hasnt done enough imo

Who is managing Sunderland today?

Ricky Sbragia (former Utd coach) and Dwight Yorke is assisting him much to Fergie's amusement in the press conference

Don't buy the price-tag argument. Fergie plays who he wants to play.

I didn't know that was the poiint you were trying to make to be honest. I agree, I'd love Berbatov to score more goals! Tevez doesn't score enough either.

A few mins till kick off and people are moaning about Tevez, again!

Yes he was outstanding midweek but we played really well against City too so you can totally understand why Fergie has gone with the exact same 11.

If he had made changes elsewhere you would be able to understand that Tevez would be pissed off but he's gone with the exact same team even though the likes of Nani, Giggs + Anderson impressed in midweek too.

Did anyone just notice when rio walked out of the dressing room he spat all over the floor?

(I got up from my sickbed to write this)

HAH That kid that walked with Rafael to the pitch was almost his size!

Stop being silly. Goals are goals, no matter who against or if they were offside or not. Cretin.

He hasn't been in great form at any part of the season, even at the start of season when everyone was raving about him without him actually doing anything.

At the end of the day, Berbatov and Rooney were rested against Blackburn. They didn't play because they were poor. Their form justifies them starting the next Premiership game regardless or what Tevez did. Its up to Rooney and Berbatov to show that Fergie got it right this time round. If not, Tevez is waiting to come in.

Thats it now, its boring. I'mm of to watch the game and I'll leave you and your Tevez lovers moaning about his lack of a start.

Good post. Tevez will get his fair share of games as the season goes on.

On to the game now anyway, I think it will be a comfortable win.

They're right though. This is a suprising move by Ferguson if i'm honest.

what you're basically saying is Tevez is clear 3rd choice and will only play if Berbatov or Tevez cant. Which today essentially proves, as his best isnt good enough to force a place in the side.

He can do better than being clear 3rd choice at a top club. Fully expect him to move on now.
