I think Rooney will definitely play because he is suspended for the spurs game. Berbatov and Fletcher might be rested.
 
Rooney must play and score some goals.

He's suspended against Spurs anyway, so I don't know why some of you leave him out.
 
Does the squad for this match have to be named soon? I know they are for away games. I wouldn't mind seeing Fabio on the bench. He needs to get a run out asap.

Good point that, I agree with you. He needs a couple of 'confidence goals' to get him going.

I think he'll need to blood the Tevez / Berba combo before the Spurs game. Rooney to come off the bench at some stage, O'Shea may feature for 30 mins or so too (or even start in Evra's place given the upcoming suspension)
 
cant wait for this one , taking my wee brother to his first game at old trafford, 400 mile round trip ,expecting a few goals

Cristiano Ronaldo seems certain to miss Manchester United's Champions League encounter with Aalborg on Wednesday.

Ronaldo injured a hip in Saturday's win over Sunderland but although he has been able to train, Sir Alex Ferguson feels it would be better to let the Ballon D'Or winner have further treatment ahead of the weekend visit to Tottenham.

Michael Carrick is also out with what Ferguson vaguely hinted was a minor knock, although the England international should also be fit to face his former club at White Hart Lane. Gary Neville and Ben Foster are set to start tomorrow, while Paul Scholes is expected to be on the bench.

I don't see why anybody should be underwhelmed by it in all honesty, we have a chance to win the group and that's incentive enough for me. Last season's dead rubber match against Roma was underwhelming but that's because we already had the group sewn up. I want us to finish as group winners please :devil:

evra will play seeing as he's suspended for weekend, rooney too. agree with the rest of the team though just swap oshea and berb
