Decent half. We look a little relaxed sometimes but we hustle when it matters. I'm really impressed with Gamba's effort, but it's obvious we're on a whole level above them.
To be fair to Nani, he did do this amazing 60 yard cross-field pass to Ronaldo which completely opened up the Gamba defence. Never seen Ronaldo or even any real winger (Beckham aside) do something like that.

I can't see the game, but I think all you guys knocking nani will be eating your words soon. He's a great player and I'm sure he's going to get some world class goals soon.

As for Neville, Ronaldo's been playing in front of him and he's been quite static so I think it might be orders.

We started off slowly and gave them a few early half chances. We gradually came into the game and took complete control after Vidic's opener.
In relation to Nani, he has been very poor and has been our worst player. He has all the ability in the world but he just can't seem to put it into practice. He misplaces so many short passes, sometimes it's schoolboy stuff. He put a great long pass through for Ronaldo so he has the ability.His final ball is woeful though. He needs to improve greatly to ever become a regular.
We wouldn't have played Al Ahly in the semis, we would have played them in the final.

You've noticed it too? Player bashing seems to be the trend these days. Supporters are supposed to support. I hope Nani scores in the second half to shut the doubters up.

Well I certainly wouldn't have predicted them to knock off Quito or whatever the feck they are from Ecuador.
This match is a piece of piss. Pretty boring stuff. Both our goals were diabolical defending from Gamba. We haven't looked particularly imposing from open play.

What surprises me is that our fans haven't learnt from what happened with Ronaldo. He really was crucified on forums like these and came good. Now no two players are the same but there are so many striking similarities between Nani and Ronaldo that I'm inclined to believe that with raw talent like that, he'll come good.

Ronaldo has much more talent and never played as bad as Nani does on most occasions. You can't blame fans for being disappointed with him. He has so much talent but hasn't got the brains to use it most of the time.
