Any win will do. i've a feeling it will be rather too close for comfort. As many have said, boro are game-raisers of the first degree. The form book says we struggle more often than not, no?

we have the squad to field a different midfield 4 , a diff keeper, a striker and RB and still have a strong side .. Nice :D

Boro is rarely a comfortable game [a bit of a bogey side for us in fact] nor nor one without controversy . Had it been up at the Riverside i think this would have been more however mind you, so...3-1.

Wouldn't tbe surprised if Rooney starts on the bench.

I'd be really surprised if he does. he's scored 5 goals in his last six games.

28 starts in all competitions thus far, probably only behind Rio and Vidic and clear daylight between himself and the other forwards at the club [it takes a toll both physically and mentally]. Also is the the Xmas/New Year period or not? The management of the squad at this time of year and with all our future commitments in mind is crucial.

tbh, I think Teveth is one of those players who always looks tired at the end of games. Not quite on the scale of Chris Waddle or Paddy Crerand who both looked fecked after 5 mins but still.......:)
 
I had a dream where Anderson scored the winning goal and Rooney got sent off for punching southgate's nose in the final minute.

yes , but we have derby and southampton after this and i dont expect rooney to start either of those .
so might be a good idea to play the best XI agianst boro
