Manchester United vs Chelsea

This match tomorrow now becomes more important after today because if we can get a win against Chelsea, we know we have our first game in hand on Wednesday which could potentially put us just two points behind Liverpool. There's huge, huge incentive here and if the players aren't up for it, then God help us. I'm hoping for a big performance from them. Every player has to give nothing less than 100%, be first to every ball, hassle and frustrate them, and most importantly....play their own game! If we play our own game at the pace we can, Chelsea won't live with us and they'll really struggle. I know we've beaten the likes of Stoke & West Brom with good scorelines but we need a really big performance from the boys tomorrow. The 76,000 strong crowd at OT needs to be a cauldron, make as much noise as possible and get under the Renties skins. If we win tomorrow, then in the words of our dear Bindipper friends.....IT'S ON!!! :devil::devil:

Im almost 100% sure this will be the team

The only other options would be to swap scholes for fletcher, but i dont think scholes will be up the the dirty work which fletcher gets through so well in these games, and i think a lot of energy will be needed against a Chelsea midfield that is so strong it can dominate most games. And there was a choice between anderson and park but i feel park is playing well at the minute and his running and harrying will give rooney, berba and ron a lot of room to work with.

Its going to be exciting, i just hope they are up for it as much as i am, with todays result its a real chance to step up the title challenge, im sure they sense that.:devil:

:angel: like pogue said i did say potentially but to be fair id have probably reacted like you did had i seen somebody say it,in all honesty though we must realistically look at wigan and fulham at home as games we should win, we are after all trying to defend win the league for the 3rd year in a row. also IF we win tomorrow i strongly doubt our players would get complacent and drop easy points especially at home, tomorrows game could dictate performances in coming games, i.e an excellent win would set us on our way

Out of those three games I'm expecting us to get 5 points.

Not like my optimistic self but I don't expect us to beat Chelsea and I have a funny feeling we won't beat Fulham.

Huge game tomorrow. A win for either team will be very bad news for the Dippers. United get the three points and our destiny is well within our own hands, especially with a home game against Liverpool to come.

I will take a boring 1-0 united win. :cool: Tomorrow is one of those days when only the 3 points matter. Win and the pressure will be on Liverpool, and I don't think they are equipped to handle it.
 
Cant wait for this game now. im sure our players will be even more up for it what with liverpool dropping points and of course the infamous rafa rant. the players would want to rub their noses in it.

This really is an important game. Not a must win for us but a must win for them as we're potentially already 2 points ahead of them.

Would rather see Fletcher than Scholes, at least from the off; otherwise, team picks itself imo. Hopefully Rafa's rant's lit a fire in the team--going for a 2-0 win, Berbatov and Carrick with the goals.

Also, next time SAF does a press conference, doesn't he sort of have to pull a piece of paper out of his jacket pocket? ;)
 
I am seeing this a lot, and I have to ask, has Park ever been a part of the midfield three when United have gone with a 4-3-3. I think he is excellent in an advanced position of a 4-3-3 but he isnt a CM, and as I think United should play a 4-3-3 I dont have him in my lineup for tomorrow. I wouldnt mind seeing him up to with Ronaldo and Rooney, but he would never get ahead of Berbatov or Tevez for that matter, that said I guess a lot of people will be right becuase I reckon he will start in a 4-4-2 as a winger, which I have said is a mistake numerous times, the formation that is

I think he did, in the final part of last season, alongside Carrick and Scholes, with Rooney and Ronaldo on the wings, Tévez up front. Looked that way, anyway.

Park does play in central midfield with license to attack for South Korea, and is decent at the role.

My biggest fear today is that we're just not going to turn up.

You just have to remember how these situations usually go,the media are playing us.... remember Arsenal,they were completely written off,they had no chance with both thier strikers out and we were supposedly to thrash them... remeber Liverpool,they had no Torres and Gerrard and again we were touted to smash them and all of a sudden now press are playing the scolari will lose his job if he loses card,this is just gouing to make chelsea give 200% just like arse and pool did and unless we match that tenacity it'll be very tough especially considering the fact that we have to accomadate both Berbatov and Ronaldo who aren't known for thier closing down skills.

Under Scolari i think chelsea don't close down as much,i hope that is the case.I can see 2 possible results

4-1 to United
1-2 to Chelsea
