Manchester United vs. Wigan Athletic

I love Carlitos, but Berbatov and Rooney link up so well together. They have really developed something together. They both played well on Sunday and more importantly, got goals so I'm not surprised they start again together tonight. Why change a winning formula?

Because we've frenshened things up elsewhere, so you'd think we'd do that upfront as well, especially as we also have a quality option on the bench. I agree that Rooney any Berba are developing something special, but they surely won't start all three matches we have within six days, so I would have though Tevez would start tonight.

Haha tevez out again reckon he will get his chance when either rooney or berbatov get hurt eventually

I kind of disagree with that.

I know it could be a strain on the players, but I'd expect something more like..

Rooney and Berbatov start this game, one of them is subbed off ater 45-60 minutes for Tévez.

Rooney and Berbatov start against Bolton, whoever wasn't subbed against Wigan will be subbed after a similar time...

That could be how Fergie will think about freshening it up, but we'll see. We can always take a striker off for a midfield player or Welbeck also.

I'd rather win the game first, and then make the changes (the other ones were all predictable ones and arguably added more strength to the side).

what's the issue? Berba and Rooney are playing SUPERB together and individually, so whether it's Tevez, Benzema or freaking fat-Ronaldo at his peak, they'll have to settle for a place on the bench...storm in a teacup IMO....and besides, Tevez hardly set the world alight when he last started....no brainer IMO

Nani starting a Premiership game for the first time since forever.

It still amazes me how quickly Rafael broke into the first team

I think some people, myself included, love Tevez so much that we forget that putting him on the bench is probably beneficial to the balance of the team at the moment, given the recent blossoming of the Berbaroon partnership.

Please stay Carlitos. :(

----------------- Do we need anyone ------------------
Rafael -------- Vidic ------- Evans ------ Evra/O'Shea
Ronaldo ---- Carrick ------- Scholes ---------- Nani
--------------- Berbatov ------- Rooney ---------------

Bench: PIG, Gaz, Fletch, Anderson, Park, Tevez, Welbeck

I got my team spot on, right down to the subs bench

Yeah I don't seem to get this whole 'rest' nonsence. With the exception of Scholes, Giggs and maybe Gaz and VDS, the rest of our squad are quite young and can play more than one game after another.

We went through most of the 06/07 season with nearly the same line-up every game.
