Overreaction much. Two seasons the League Cup final was a priority, this season it's not. Rooney's not that stupid and if he is then SAF will work him round.
Ruud wanted to leave on numerous occasions before then. Rooney is on record saying he wants to stay with us for his whole career.

Ruud had already asked to leave before then. Rooney is a completely different character who loves it here, like feck he is going to do the same over a League Cup final spot (especially since he's only played about 20 minutes in the league cup anyway).
