he has made some questionable passes but he has also basically ran through the inter defense

should oshea have passed it off to berba i think on his left

we still had 59% of possession in the first half were ok

just come out and play the united way and not the inter way. I stated that about halfway through the first half that we were starting to play at thier pace and it almost bit us.
 
giggs is not playing poorly at all when he gets into the hole he is releasing some insane passes.
he released an early pass that Cordoba had to put out for a corner not playing badly at all and Scholes is only looking bad because of the occassions where he has given away the ball

Never a penalty. Agree on The Cat mind, should have tucked it away, but he's not a striker so I can't blaim him for missing. We need our actual strikers to step up instead.

We can score more in the second half. I reckon Rooney will bag at least one.
 
Paz is the least supportive supporter you could ever see. Would hate to have to watch a match with him.

We have only been poor in the last 10-15 minutes, before that we were running the show. Giggs has been amazing today, his control and dribbling is immaculate, just needs to deliver that final ball. Berbatov has been disappointing so far, if he continues this way then Tevez will probably be introduced sooner rather than later.
 
Let's play like we know we can for 45 minutes and we're through to the QF.

I mean that we were lucky to find a goal after three minutes..We have been struggling since then. Hope we can find another goal too, because I see that Inter might score in the 2nd half.

Even though we have had 59% possession, it is our MF which has stank a bit. Both Scholes and Carrick have been meh and Giggs has tried too hard to play a super pass.
 
What we do without Fergie honestly. Muntari, for Vieira. We are honestly going to get beaten physically, Scholes, Giggs and Berba are not going to sprint around.

New-ish FIFA directive; when a player touches the ball indirectly or directly is irrelevant. It matters if the player gains an advantage from it. The centre back gained an advantage from touching the ball when he slid to prevent Giggs' pass. Stonewall penalty.

We have to expect the Inter onslaught, they're going out if they don't score. Just need to deal with it much better.
 
it seems to me SAF made the same critical mistake that he has against acmilan and the like.
