I can see the problems in defence, but for the third game in arow we've caused no problems going forward.
 
Tevez I feel sorry for, he has no support and Nani could put those crosses in all day long but nobody is going to attack them. We seriously need to get a grip the whole team needs to have a fire lit under their collective arses.

Giggs is having one of those games where almost every pass he attempts he ends up giving it away. Hes had a few of those in the past couple of seasons.

But then he can just as easily turn it around and have an amazing second half.
 
why does gaz's shirt still have "g. neville" written on the back. surely now that "p. neville" isn't with us, the "g." is superfluous, no?

Thats the one. Barring a once in two seasons moment like against Liverpool, against tough strikers therses noone like Vidic. Sorely sorely missing him today. Just imagine him winning all these long balls played by Villa.

With this team, yes. But if we can snatch a victory, we;ll have most of our players back for the next game. When's Rio due back??? we've missed him immensely.

We're still in the game, though.

Guys, the 4-1 defeat against L'Pool was more symbolic than I first thought.

Tevez has had little support and has no partner up front.

Nani's passing has been hit and miss, has tried to be a bit too complicated at times.

Giggs' passing has been just as bad only he's been in some very good positions when he's messed it up.
 
I can see Villa scoring again, and to be fair, Barry has been dictating play. We need to get a handle on the game, nullify the supply line to Gabby and Carew, who are skinning Gaz for fun at times and start making chances of our own.

I predicted we'd either lose or draw this one today, then go on to win our remaining games to win the title.

Strangely, I'm not worried, even if we lose, title is still in our hands and by the next PL game, we'll have our big hitters back. We're at that end of the season where fatigue is settling in and we're having our dodgy patch.

I'd much rather us have our title destiny in our hands, rather than relying on other results to go our way.

Fingers crossed for a better performance in the second half, we're capable of doing so, but we need a positive result to get our confidence back on track.
 
We've played pretty badly. Defensively we're all over the place and there isnt enough up front atm.

Got to get someone else up front and start defending properly.

This is a big second 45 minutes of Football. We're going to have to hope we nick it like we used to when we played poorly in recent years.

We are half the team of old due to the injuries and suspensions.

I saw some improvement in this first half in comparison to the last two matches.

i guess you dont understand that when the back 4 is having a mare that the attacking players are impacted as well?

We all seem to forget that we won several games 1-0 this year. In terms of an attacking force we have been below average much of this year.

The positives is that we have scored against friedal and villa still look suspect at the back. Let them continue to atack and we will score on the counter i just hope that 2 goals will be enough.

I would like to see Macheda get a run. Get someone in the box just to be there. FFS we got lee martin on the bench!
 
Makes me more annoyed that Rio played on Wendesday.

Fergie should give him an 8 month reserve stretch to give him time to mull it over

For me this is the toughest game during our run in. I knew that when is saw the team sheet. Besides having Neville in there, we're having to regain our form without Vidic, Rio and Rooney.

Even having said that, we shouldnt be making Villa look like Barca.
 
Oh... and Carricks been pretty bad, sadly. When I saw the lineup I expected him to be our best midfielder.

Lets hope for a better second half. Come on lads!!

No question we should be passing it better but be fair, over half of our first choice team is sitting on the sideline.

Not completely excusing the lack of cohesion but that has to be a major factor.

Sad part is whole season we complained about teams parking the bus. And now that they arent we cant get anything going!!!

How does a team forget how to play football...We need a lucky win somehow just to get going...
 
typical of these teams, kick united of the pitch now...they all use them tactics....
 
That clean sheet BS was a major fecking distraction IMO. Constantly relying on the defense and scraping games 1-0 has blunted our attacking edge.

Maybe true of the team we've got out today but any team would struggle with five key players missing.
