Yeah, it's ridiculous. I believe it's to protect the clubs in the lower leagues. If every PL game was on the TV, then the theory is that people would stop bothering going to watch lower league footy.

I wouldn't say that. Premier League and the FA would hugely benefit financially if every game was to be shown.
