It was also announced on Monday that Switzerland's Massimo Busacca will be the referee for the Champions League final.

The 40-year-old refereed the all-Spanish Uefa Cup title match between Sevilla and Espanyol in 2007, as well as the United and Barcelona Champions League semi-final last season.

Does anyone know where they usually give the trophy at Stadio Olimpico?

Is it on the pitch or on the main stand?

Just curious.

All I've heard all day is how Messi has never scored vs a British team.

Has Ronaldo ever scored against a Spanish team?

For some reason I've got the voice of Clive Tyldesley in my head saying 'First blood to Barcelona!'

:nervous:

I'm psychic btw so theres no way this is wrong.

Setting the Scene

"Before the match, a somewhat surprising team announcement is made, as Paul Scholes is starting the game over Ryan Giggs. It's 19:45pm, Samuel Eto'o touches the ball into the United half for Lionel Messi, and the Champions League Final is underway. Barcelona keep the ball avidly for the first five minutes, dominating possession and running rings around the Manchester United players who are seemingly struggling to settle. The pressure mounts until Nemanja Vidic towers over Eto'o to head away a ball played into the Manchester United box. The ball falls to Anderson, who promptly lofts it forward to Ji-Sung Park in space on the right, playing it first time to Cristiano Ronaldo. The crowd chant "Viva Ronaldo" as he darts his way through the Barcelona midfield and defence, on a mission, before being brought down by Yaya Toure roughly 30yards from goal. Cristiano steps up to take the free kick, with his trademark run up... The wall jumps, anticipating a dreaded thunderbolt from Ronaldo, but he sneakily feeds the ball into the centre of the pitch, setting up Paul Scholes who thumps a shot into the top corner, leaving Valdes hopeless once more. United lead 0-1 with another 80 minutes to play..."

But seriously, scores? I can see a 2-0 or 2-1 or us...

No, he hasn't scored yet.

But remember Messi has played 10 matches against English teams and today it's his 11th game. Ronaldo has played six times against Spanish teams (Villarreal 4, Barcelona 2).

Barcelona 3 - 4 Manchester United

Keita 8'
Henry 33'
Puyol 67'
Ronaldo 69'
Rooney 75'
Anderson 89'
Rooney 90+3'

I've just placed a series of bets on Barcelona winning 1-0, 2-0 and 2-1 totalling £100 to cussion the blow if we do lose.

If we lose 3-1 I'm going to top myself.

Can't function normally anymore. I think I'm resigned to pacing around my living room for the next few hours.

I keep assuring myself that our feck-ups always take place in the semi-finals and we have a solid record in CL finals... then I remember how hard it is to defend the CL, as no one has done it yet in its modern form. Ugh, need to stop thinking so much!

Give me the fecking keys you fecking cock sucker mother fecker:D

Apparently that was meant to be a serious scene but they all kept fecking about and laughing so the directors had to use the best take they had

Need to jot this down in case my pro evo game comes to life.

Barca 1 - 2 United

Anderson 45'+
Iniesta 58'
Ronaldo 84' (FK)

Barcelona 3 - 4 Manchester United

Keita 8'
Henry 33'
Puyol 67'
Ronaldo 69'
Rooney 75'
Anderson 89'
Rooney 90+3'

That would be so hard to watch, being 3-0 down and then to come back........

Score 2 goals and we'll be fine.

1968: 4 - 1
1999: 2 - 1
2008: 1 - 1

Im sure of it :nervous:

I'll still be shitting it if we go 2-0 ahead.

If it's 2-0 on 80 minutes, I'll still be like that.

Wish we'd have just gone out vs fecking Porto ;)
