I think it must be one of our backroom staff, or something, as they use the phrase 'the players'. I'm not sure one of our team would use the third person plural in that case. [Edit: Cheers for clarifying, Sean. Good link that.]

But yeah, I suppose it's a very different mood from the Far East tour. There are both a lot less United fans in the area, it's less of a coup for us to be there, and with AC Milan and Boca involved as well as the famed local side, we're not the only star attraction on show.

I hope we can show we're the best side there though, and if we can continue the good link up-play and composed finishing we showed on the Asia tour, and cut out the defensive lapses we've seen a little these last few games, then there's no reason we can't do really well in the Audi Cup. It'll be great to see Vida back now, as well, and also to see how Valencia fits into the attacking set-up.

What are the free squad numbers anyway? 27 and 32? I guess one of them to Obertan and the other one to Valencia, unless they pick 77 or something like that.

Premier League disallows numbers over 50

EDIT: That is, players requesting it. Obviously if a youth player gets assigned like number 54 and has to play then they won't block it.

i think two seasons ago when rooney got sent off in the pre season friendly that was on foxtel.. bastards..

worse is that wembley cup is on setanta and espn have shown the chelsea vs ac milan etc :mad:

Valencia will start against Boca Juniors according to the Official Site.

This is a surprise to me because I thought he was behind the other players in his preparation. This is true but apparently he has been at Carrington doing his endurance and speed work while we were in Asia. So now we will get a chance to see how he can perform in this team.

Hasn't joined up with the squad in Munich. He's still in America 'completing his rehab'. We were hoping for him to be back in training with us in Munich but he's not ready.
 
All Audi Cup games are on MUTV.

I'd rather we play the weaker half of the squad tomorrow against Boca and a stronger XI on Thursday to give us the best chance of winning it.

Anyway, I've just returned from training where Valencia, Vidic and Cathcart all had their first run-outs with the side. Valencia's crossing looked first-rate during an attackers v defenders drill, but it was Zoran Tosic who really caught my eye. When he signed we were told a lot about his lethal left foot and it seems it's all true: he was rifling shots into the top corners this morning.

07:35 – United have a session this morning at Bayern's training ground so I'll be popping along to cover that before rushing back to the hotel for Sir Alex's press conference at 13:30.

Only in the UK. Even if you have a subscription. They check your IP on MUTV online and if you're out of the UK, tough.

Check OP for all the channels I could find showing the game.....not many.
