When teams play with eleven men behind the ball against us Gibson could prove very useful with his long range shots they will create all kinds of trouble for the other teams.

Nani and Gibson have showed before they have great strikes on them, it's nice to see efforts from range.
Rafael may end up playing 2nd fiddle to his brother at right back some stage in the future

Gibson has been immense since he came on. Two ferocious shots on off the bar one took a great save from the keeper. Sprayed the ball out wide pretty well. Great decision to keep the lad.

We are gathering form nicely and the way we are playing is encouraging.We never know until the serious business starts but it looks like forgetting about the departed pair might be easier than alot of people expected

that is one huuuuuuuuuuuuge contradiction, one would have to be dropped for silvaGotta say, that was a really good game from us. Pretty disappointed by Carrick though, we looked alot better with him off (might be the tiring opposition though).
Gibbo and Fletcher seem to be in very good form, both creating alot in midfield, very impressed. Nani and Valencia are shoes ins for a start on Sunday, they've both had very good preseasons.
I think the most impressive thing about tonight was the way we've managed to include Owen into our play, he looks completely settled in the team and with a few goals to kick him off he'll be VERY dangerous this year. What a bloody signing this will turn out to be.
Cleverly and Tosic showed some nice touches and found space well, deffiantly ones to watch. All tonight has done is show how much depth we have in the squad and how fierce the competition will soon be for places in the squad (let alone first team). Exciting to see so many promising youngsters knocking on the door.
Special mention to Delaet, brilliant game from a player who was a bit of a joke not so long ago.

Silva isn't really a traditional winger though. He's more than capable of pulling the strings in the middle.
We have had quite a good preseason. The squad looks together, motivated and pretty sharp. We are certainly not a weaker force.
Our wings and strikeforce look in good shape and we still have Vidic, Hargreaves, Welbeck and Obertan to come back in.
