Wigan v Manchester United

Could be Mike

Whatever it is, I'm delighted with the side we've put out there today, bar the concerns over the well-being of Evans carrying an injury which may require surgery, but otherwise I reckon we'll do em by a couple today

That looks a good side on paper. Great to see Vidic, Fletcher, Nani, Scholes and Berbatov back after Wednesday. Nice to see Welbeck on the bench as well. The way the wings look at present I want to see what impression he can make from out wide.

On a side note, Gibson has been on the bench every game so far and failed to get on the pitch. Poor lad. Wouldn't mind seeing him at some stage today.

I'm guessing they've been dropped for playing a bit shit. And rightly so if I'm honest, I like all 3 players but they need to step it up.

Agreed, the three of them not playing well at the one time worries me.SAF is obviously sending them a message

It's on Setanta ROI so why can't i find a decent stream for that  Veetle has let me down :(

They were all very poor against Burnley. Is Fergie trying to lay down a ruthless early season mesage? Play badly and you're out of the squad.

The only one I felt a little sorry for was Anderson who was asked to a job on the left, to accomodate Giggsy playing in the middle. Carrick and Park had no real excuses, but Carrick certainly needs a kick up the arse.

Im a bit nervous about that one too. G Neville has done very little since that Gary Speed tackle to suggest he can still play at the highest level. Who plays for Wigan on the left wing, btw?

Trouble is that Nev is going to need to come off later on in the game as he isn't match fit. So that is one sub used. As I already said he did the same with Brown in midweek when he wasn't fully fit.

It is a waste of a sub.

Im pleased with that team. However I always am, its the players out there who need to perform because we know what they are capable of. Nothing less than a win is acceptable today.

We need to get some pride and fluency back in our play. Cmon United!

Oh for feck's sake, just get the game started so I don't have to have the TV on mute, due to their build-up seemingly consisting of 20 minutes of showing United-Burnley footage and slagging United off in general (and also some clips from last season with Ronaldo apparently, probably mentioning the importance of him and what Valencia will need to do to be able to replace him).

That big bloke playing up front for Wigan gave Vidic a rough game last season. They also had a very good player playing for them at RW. That Valencia character.
