Besiktas JK vs. Manchester United

well, have you seen him play recently, cant pass the ball 5 yards.. he has been utter utter shit.. very disappointed with him (and this after a such a wonderful January last season).. he is more frustrating to watch than Nani lately. I would rather play O'shea in the midfield than carrick now (thank god i dont manage united.... lol)

I get that he's being playing shit, I noticed it towards the back end of last season and it's carried on. However we need to keep playing him otherwise his confidence will be shot and he'll never get back onto form.

Maybe Carrick should go play a game in the reserves seeing as it has worked wonders for Anderson.

well, just do what Ando did, play him in reserves and if he looks like he can be arsed then give him a chance to play with the first team.. he doesn't deserve to be in the team based on his performances. hope he proves me wrong though.

Two goals in his last two outings, in a United shirt :smirk:

Carrick certainly needs a firm kick up the arse. It is as if he became complacent, and assumes he is first choice with out really trying. It has been like this since the tail end of the last season, but now with Fletcher getting a lot more dynamic over the last season or so and his excellent start this year has made Carrick's poor form even more noticable.

Why are our line-up always the last one uploaded on UEFA.com?

Maybe Ole gave him some shooting lessons.

I wouldn't say he has become complacent but has certainly lost his form. A goal tonight would do Carrick a world of good imo.

4 - 5 - 1...... rooney alone upfront..... not a bad line up.... i predict 1 - 3 with rooney, nani and berba on the scoresheet...

Anderson behind Rooney?

Hopefully. It's a formation that will suit Nani and Anderson, if it's what we perceive, but I don't know why we're using it. We're inferior to our rivals when we play this formation, although still better than Besiktas. I just don't see why we feel a need to play 5 in midfield.
