Manchester United vs Manchester City

Bellamy looks in good form judging by the Arsenal match. Could do with Rio being fit and dealing with his pace.

Got the feeling it'll be:

Foster
O'Shea Ferdinand Vidic Evra
Valencia Fletcher Anderson Giggs
Berbatov Rooney
--
Subs: Kuszczak; Neville, Brown; Carrick, Park, Nani; Owen

2-0

I'd go with this too. They'll score though I reckon.

Adebayor, Tevez and Robinho are all out.

Adebayor got a three match ban for the stamp on van Pussy's face.

Edit: Waaaaay too late!

City team on Sunday after Adebayor´s ban now likely:

Starting XI------------- Given -----------------------
Richards ------ Toure ---------- Lescott ------- Bridge
-------------- De Jong ---------- Barry --------------
- SWP ----------------- Ireland --------------- Petrov
----------------------- Bellamy ----------------------

Bench: Taylor, Zabaleta, Onuoha, Vidal, Sylvinho, Clayton, Weiss

 My god, bad timing for them.

They are going to park the bus and as always in OT, we're going to have to find ways to wreck that bus out of the pitch.. Evra needs to play another great game to stop Wright-Phillips ´cause I don't see any othet player causing us problems.. Bellamy of course can score a goal but if he plays alone upfront we are more than capable to shut them up...

They won't sit back, they are on a vengance. I am pretty sure it will be quite an open game.

Going to be a good match as always. But with so many of their ket players out, mainly adebuyor and robinho, then I think City are really going to struggle.

I have also heard that Ireland is out? After injury in the Arsenal game, is that true?

Ireland picked up a knock but IIRC he's said himself that he'll be fit in time.

I heard that Santa Cruz was definetly out, but Benjani is available.

Tevez will play - that's all mindgames.

I have had that feeling aswell...especially after what Evra said in his interview, saying he was a warrior and will make it in time. Could be wrong though, as it was released by Argies that he was injured first i think.

Anyway can't wait for Sunday its going to be immense!

Can't stand that chant.

It's classless as feck.

It's a classless chant for a classless player. You need to keep in mind that it's about Tevez. It would have been quite embarassing to have a chant like that for Silvestre after he signed for Arsenal, considering that he's a nice lad. On the other hand, Tevez is a money grabbing whore, his attitude has been disrespectful for the club, the manager and the fans that he used to get what he wanted. I don't care about the way he'll be treated on Sunday, just hope there won't be anything violent though (like throwing coins or something).

Most football fans unfortunately seem to lack class. In fairness that song isn't as bad as some other chants that are out about other subjects, its still classless.

I just laugh at the irony that some United fans that will call City the bitters and that loved Tevez last season, are now singing this very bitter song and hate him.

Tevez will play.

However, the former United striker was able to get through a carefully planned training session and the strapping around his right knee has now been removed. His involvement at the weekend is still shrouded in doubt but City's medical staff are increasingly optimistic about his chances providing he does not suffer an adverse reaction from pushing himself to return ahead of schedule.

I'm hoping the team will be:

Foster

O'Shea Ferdinand Vidic Evra

Valencia Fletcher Anderson Giggs

Rooney Owen

Subs: Kuszczak, Evans, Fabio, Carrick, Park, Nani, Berbatov

Flethcher Scholes Anderson Nani

Came by a pair of tickets yesterday :D. Will still need to get another off a tout on the day mind.

Carlos Tevez expects a good reception from Manchester United fans | The Sun |Sport|Football

CARLOS TEVEZ insists he has nothing to fear from fans if he makes an explosive return to Old Trafford on Sunday.
The Argy is back in light training at Manchester City and hopes to recover from a knee injury in time for the crucial derby at United.

And striker Tevez, 25, expects a positive reception from the crowd despite walking out on United this summer to join their bitter rivals.

In reality, he will have every touch jeered by the fans who idolised him.

But he said: "I expect to get a good reception from the fans.

"I always gave my best at United and the fans know I did everything to try to score and help the team win.

"I don't see any reason why I should get a bad reception."

Emmanuel Adebayor ran the length of the pitch to celebrate his City goal against his former club Arsenal last week.

Tevez added: "What will I do if I score? I'll be glad but I don't think too much about it. If I don't score but we win I'll be happy."

I like the balance of that line up.
If only Scholes was ten years younger we could play him in the Ireland role and i think it would make a very solid line up with great attacking options too.
Player for player it would more than match Citehs.

I reckon Sir Alex will be tempted to play that 4-5-1 come 4-3-3 formation he holds so dearly in Europe and big games. City's midfield is well balanced with De Jong and Barry working their asses off and Ireland being able to drift and manipulate play. As a result, Fergie may play three in midfield to prevent City dominating the centre and hitting on the break like they did against Arsenal last weekend.

Don't be surprised to see:

Fletcher-----------------Carrick
Giggs
Valencia---------------------------------Rooney
Berbatov

I'd hate to see Rooney on the Left. With most of Citeh's attack out why put Rooney on the left ? To stop Petrov ? Nahhhhh Evra + RB is more than enough. Put Giggs on the left and Rooney back in the middle.
