Manchester United vs. Wolverhampton Wanderers

Thanks mate. I saw him mentioned on the cafe earlier today but that is as far as my knowledge of him goes.

Hahah... geez... I mean, any 17 year old given a chance for the first team, 3rd round of the LC or not, has something about him.

He's been looking impressive and is supposedly in the mould of Carew, 'cept he's got some growing to do and supposedly has every chance to be better.

Full Time

Manchester United 1 - 0 Wolverhampton Wanderers

FT: Good result.Don't care what anyone thinks this is a valuable competition. The only real competitive game that our fringe and younger players get.

happy for fabio .. didnt cost us in the end
macheda will get his chance too.

king looked decent ..

wolves were quite shite....

good performance by a few players tho - nani looked decent despite wolves doubling up, welbeck was very lively and took his goal very well i felt and de laet looked excellent when he came on - brown looking a bit rusty and unfortunate not to get the ball out in the run up to the sending off - good to see carrick having a decent amount of control over midfield as well

a very average performance elsewhere though and united seemed happy to stay in 1st gear

feel sorry for fabio who was unlucky with the slip and macheda for getting sacrificed...

I'm sorry, what did you just say about Carrick?

shame it was , because I thought the rest of his game was spot on

Good runs are pretty useless if he wastes it every time.

Still he's started the season well so I'll put it down to a bad night and hope he does better next game.

Was you watching the same Carrick .I thought he was poor at best tonight a game like this against poor oposition her should of done much much better

its a premiership side who packed the midfield and he did ok - i think he was much better then gibson

i think my opinion is relative to his recent performances - as i said it was a decent amount of control

nowhere near his best though

Good performance from our attacking players. Evans, Neville and Brown (in the 1st half) looked very shakey at times. Really unfortunate for Fabio and Macheda but they'll have plenty of chances to play in the coming years so hopefully they'll both bounce back.

Great finish from Welbeck. Well done lad, King also looked promising.
