I'm still pondering RM, LM and CM, which I think are the main areas of contention, assuming we're playing 4-4-2.

For most attacking line-up: Nani/Fletch/Scholes/Giggs which i think is unlikely for an away game.

Most defensive available: Valencia/Fletch/Anderson/Park

I think Fergie would want to give Anderson a game as he is developing his game reasonably well. So if Fletch/ Anderson take up the CM spots, I'd have to put Nani into RM and Giggs into LM for a more attacking threat.

So my most probable midfield line-up would be:

nani/ Fletch/ Anderson/ Giggs


Having said all that, if Fergie feels this is a game in which Carrick can kick-start his season, we might even see Carrick in CM - at Anderson's expense.

1-0 would do. Berbatov 88th min.
 
i wonder could carrick play given his ability in the air against stoke who are going to attack you that way??

i know

stoke away isnt easy
big physical side on a small pitch and the crowd behind them ..
we cant have another burnley .. hope the players are up for it .. unlike everyone here
 
I predict a 3-0.

It could be easier than last year because we are now playing the 4-4-2 which will stretch the opposition more causing more mistakes.

Berbatov should have a good game though.

That is probably a bit too attacking though, especially for Stoke, so I can see Nani and Scholes between swapped out for the likes of Park or Carrick.

So difficult to pick a midfield at the moment, and people say we have problems!

It's live on Setanta Sports 1 in Ireland, which is pay for subscription, so I doubt streaming is free!

Never said it's free, if Setanta stream it - there are always plenty of streams available because someone will get a direct link to that channel and will be distributed on the internet (illegally offcourse).
