West Ham vs Manchester United

Was Berba actually injured? It wasn't some story to keep the mafia at bay was it?

So we've got a full back on the bench, and our best midfielder this season at full back? and our best attacking player this season is no longer worth a starting place?

It does make you wonder sometimes. Imagine if Rafa named a team like that

Well, first of all, Rooney and Giggs have both been better attacking players this season :)

I've no doubt that a fully fit Berbatov would've started today, but he's obviously not, and SAF hates playing players who aren't, so I'm not worried. He can easily bring him on at the usual 60 minute mark to change things a bit.

Id say Berbatovs been at the very least every bit as good as Rooney performance wise this season as a whole...

I know the problems we have in defence - Rio, Sheasy and Evans are injured and now apparently Vida has an illness. What about Rafael at RB? Is he injured again? Strange I have to say.

No point getting in to this in a match day thread, but I do very much disagree.

I obviously want to see him on the team sheet though, and like I said, if he was fully fit he'd almost certainly be there. So people need to stop overreacting.

Rafael and Fabio being injured is far from strange at this point.

From the Beeb

1445: Nemanja Vidic is ill apparently, while Rafael and Fabio, or Rabio as they're collectively known, are both injured, hence Gaz Neville at centre-back and Darren Fletcher at right-back.

My word, thats the worst looking lineup i've seen in years. No offense to the lads out there, but feckin ell

We better not drop points against the hammers again!

Well Rooney bar the hatrick last week (2 of which came from the spot) had previously been pretty shocking for a while by his standards...still your right no point getting into this on this thread...

Come on United!

Today were going to have to play like we did a few years back, score more then we let in bacause with Flecther and Neville in the center, it could go wrong.

veetle streetle pleetle?

Dunno why everyone is stressing. Here's the storyline:

Scholes majestic.
Giggs magic.
Rooney menace.

United win. Easy.

What, since:

Carroll, Neville, Brown, Heinze, Fortune, Richardson, Kleberson, Djemba, Miller, Smith, Dong.

Today's is not that bad at all. It looks quite good on paper IMO, apart from Neville at CB obviously.

What a fecking horrible line up. Was that Chelsea away? 0-0?

Berbatov's been the best of the three for me. Though Rooney's always going to start.

Maybe not match fit? It isn't making sense to me otherwise. We've got makeshift players and imbalance in other parts of the pitch, and an overload of attacking players on the bench (some of them aren't even on the bench).

Rooney was shocking after he returned from injury. Still berbatov's performances are overrated on here least this season and SAF shows he wudnt start him in a 433

Since 04-06?

Its the defense, I mean look at it! Lets hope i'm seriousally overreacting, but this fills me with dread! If I was a West Ham striker, i'd be rubbing my hands together in joy.

Lets hope Gibson shows his potential in this game, because we'll need some steel in the middle of the park. Really nervous about this game...

Will see you all at full time!

 - and people were wondering at the time I was soo pessimistic and slagging off the team....'have faith' 'they'll grow into world class players' etc...my arse

Goddammit it's almost 2010 and I still have to watch this on a 6 inch, terrible quality picture, in some crazy Asian language
