Manchester United vs. Aston Villa

Pig

Fletcher Brown Vidiic Evra

Carrick Anderson

Valencia Giggs Park

Rooney

Would have liked Nani to start ahead of Park as Nani provides some threat.

We will win

Bench

Foster
Owen
Berbatov
Welbeck
Obertan
Gibson
De Laat

nice bench as well

Rooney on his own again

Looks like we might have to get used to it....With Brown and Vidic back i dont see any greater need to play 3 in the midfield and if Owen cant get a start off the back of a hatrick nor can a fit Berbatov then it would suggest 4-5-1 is here to stay for us for the forseeable...i dont mind 4-5-1 away from home against top sides i think thats the right way to go (see Chelsea performance) but at home i dont think its needed...

Lone forward Rooney isn't too great to watch, but I suppose we want to protect the defense a little bit, having Park to help Fletcher out with Ashley Young perhaps. Or something. I'd preferred to see Berbatov, Owen, Obertan, etc, over Park though, he's not in form yet.

Hopefully Berba will come on at 60 mins and put on an exhibition

It's a midfield 3 numbnuts

I know what you mean but I still disagree, Anderson is not very good in this position.

Giggs is obviously going to be the one furthest forward (I consider him playing behind Rooney, not ahead of Anderson/Carrick, that why I said two midfield players) and Anderson will have to play deeper, where he is more frustrating to watch than Nani and Welbeck combined.

If Anderson was playing in Giggs role, I would not have to worry as much.

OFFICIAL
Man Utd: Kuszczak, Fletcher, Brown, Vidic, Evra, Carrick, Anderson, Valencia, Giggs, Park, Rooney. Subs: Foster, Owen, Berbatov, Welbeck, Obertan, Gibson, De Laet.

Aston Villa: Friedel, Luke Young, Dunne, Cuellar, Warnock, Ashley Young, Milner, Petrov, Downing, Agbonlahor, Heskey. Subs: Guzan, Sidwell, Carew, Delph, Reo-Coker, Beye, Collins.

Team suits Valencia and Rooney has been getting on the scoresheet recently in counter attacking lineups like this. So I expect at least one from him today.
