Manchester United v West Ham United

I am guessing it is too big of a risk to play both Vidic and Rio at the same time after both players have had too long a break. It makes sense if SAF has no doubt about Rio's match fitness at all that he isn't playing him. Just get Vidic through a game unscathed (knock on wood), and Rio and Vidic will be the line-up on Sunday.

Holy crap balls.

i'm gonna hold off on going balistic cause i tend to be proven wrong but dear lord I am not happy with that team AT ALL.

I can't even begin to... i just don't.... i mean....

WHAT THE HELL IS THAT?

Foster in goals? Why, why the hell play foster? Is VDS too tired? Nev at RB...no, just freaking no. Gibson in midfield? What THE HELL is that? Anderson seemingly on the left? Are you just ripping the piss Fergie? "Ere, Ando, you're getting one more chance to prove youself tonight, don't let me down or your United career is finished.... BTW, you're playing left wing with Gibson in the centre."

Holy CRAP BALLS.

:lol::eek::lol:

Foster > Kuzza.....why???

Overall though the team is good.. VIDA!!!

Clearly Kuzza gets the final, don't imagine Foster to get much action, it'll be like the Valencia friendly or the last West Ham game, all he has to do is stay awake.

I'm worried about Neville and Foster tonight - West Ham have a lot of talent out there...

If there's one player I'd have liked to see rested it would have been Rooney but I think SAF is banking on big performances from Scholes and Rooney, as well as some kind of reaction from Anderson.

Well after the last few performances by PIG before VDS came back YES, Foster had to be given a chance.

Doubt that was the reason, Foster's got a chance not because Kuszczak struggled in the Fulham game but because there exists an agreed rotation for these games, I'd expect Foster getting West Ham and Kuszczak getting Villa ... just look at the last few benchs ... Kuszczak-Foster-Kuszczak-Foster ... clearly signs of a rotation policy.

Very very strange line-up. I had hoped we'd seen the last of Foster in a United shirt, Gibson is not a good player at all, expect him to have 5 shots, and if one of them goes in, he will be hailed as the next Scholes. The omission of Carrick and Fletcher is strange to say the least, as is playing only one winger. We'll be lucky to get a win out of this.

Didn't Gibson score two beauties at Upton Park early on in the season?

That's how it's done, JayWalker.

I think we can win, but I dont expect any really good football.

Surprised to see Foster and Gibson in the line-up with Carrich, Rio and Van der Sar left out entirely. Good to see Anderson and Vidic back. Hopefully they'll have a great game. 2-0 United.

Spastic post of the day.

From reading the texts, Twitter and 606 missives, I conclude there are some panicking Man United fans out there. In my vast experience of doing these text commentary thingies, a wacky Fergie team selection usually leads to a United win. That's not a prediction, by the way. It's merely an observation - BBC

I agree with him.

Some of you need to grow some balls. I dont see why we cant win this game at Home. It's a slightly unusual selection but this group of players dont let us down too often.

Im a bit concerned about the midfield so let's hope Scholes and Gibson dominate possession properly. Anderson on the wing hasnt really worked but now is a another chance for him to give it a go.

It's not, in fairness all that wacky. What would be the point of our squad if we can't play them just because people on here throw a fit? Ridiculous.

Holy CRAP BALLS, veetle stream anyone?

Just the one, Scholes scored, Valencia scored and Rooney scored ... all four start. Gibson scored again against Spurs in the Carling game around that time.

I reckon Parker being out could be a key issue for West Ham tonight, i think they will miss him, and out weakened midfield will be less pressured as a result of his absence.

Anyone got a sopcast stream, or do they just not work any more?
