Manchester United vs. Liverpool

Dont know why, but I have a strange feeling Obertan is gonna impact this game one way or another... :s

This lineup makes a lot of sense to me. SAF expects a fast game with a lot of fight in the middle. He's put the "runners" out there. I hope it pays off

Liverpool
25 Reina
02 Johnson
05 Agger
22 Insua
23 Carragher
08 Gerrard
17 Maxi
20 Mascherano
21 Lucas
09 Torres
18 Kuyt
Substitutes
01 Cavalieri, 16 Kyrgiakos, 34 Kelly, 04 Aquilani, 15 Benayoun, 19 Babel, 24 Ngog

Liverpool: Reina, Johnson, Carragher, Agger, Insua, Mascherano, Lucas, Kuyt, Gerrard, Maxi, Torres

You sure that isn't you on the left hanging with Mick Jones from the Clash?!

I'll be off down the pub in a minute.

Not the same as watching it in a pub in Manchester at all. Last time I was home I went to see the Manchester Derby game, place was jumping. Fight in the car park at the end when Owen scored...classic!!!!

Am happy with our team, should be a cracker this.. got a feeling second half may be key, if Wayne fails to break down their defence... hopefully it it won't come to that and we can come quick out the blocks!

Got my United shirt on, finally fecking found the one that still fits. Last time I wore it we won...I think :nervous:

No surprise about Scholes IMO. He's really struggles against Liverpool's high energy (fouling) midfield in recent encounters.

Looks like we're going toe-to-toe today to give as good as we get.

Yep. And Park will stop Johnson running forward. Their only non-Gerrard,Torres attacking player.

anyone got a stream which showing the buildup..pretty please..

Surprised about no Scholes - although in these games he's been slightly uncomfortable before - but having Park in there is interesting.

Me too, but its probably just as simple as not risking his kamikaze tackling in such a volatile game, and the fact that Park has earned his place for these big games at the moment. I'm interested to see what Fergie does with Park too after his heroics against Pirlo. Probably something as simple as closing down Mascherano the second he even thinks about making a pass, but it could be bloody effective, given how poorly we've played against their midfield lately.

Probably Valencia down the middle against the Masch, Park blocking Johnson. That's the kind of Beauty of this 2008 Brazilian formation, flexibility.

Scholes must not be fit.

Hope those guys who kept saying Fergie wouldn't go with Park in the middle will shut the feck up now.
