That'd be interesting. Difficult though, since it worked on Pirlo and Milan because they like to fanny about with the ball at walking pace whereas Mascherano's all about quick release.

If it comes off it's a lot more likely to lead directly to a goal though, and I love having Park in the team, so I'm all for it!

To be fair it's damage limitation and Maxi's a lot better at defending than Benayoun.

Nah, I'd expect Valencia to be wide right, Nani wide left as Liverpool's full backs are both defensively very suspect. Then Park as a midfield dynamo, most likely stuck centrally on one man (Gerrard or Mascherano ata a guess)

Fergie wants something different from our last few games against them probably. To be fair, we were not that good against them in those games. Hopefully this change can do us good for a change.

I think Park might be asked to stick close to Gerrard. He plays much further up the pitch than Pirlo but is just as important to Liverpool as Pirlo is to Milan. All their attacking play goes through him.

Seeing as Valencia hasn't played down the middle yet for us, I don't see SAF using this match as a trial for a new formation. He'll be wide right.
