Manchester United vs. Liverpool

carrick had an absolute nightmare yesterday, usually so assurred in his passing but yesterday it was all over the place.

thank feck for fletcher (again), what a player he is turning out to be!
 
was chatting to some of the lads in the pub earlier in the game and I said "Park never scores with headers. He's too light and can't get any power on them".

Okay, just back this morning from the match. I thought the atmosphere was class, I really wasn't impressed at all with the Liverpool fans (I thought the Spurs fans were much better when I was there before). How Torres stayed on the pitch I'll never know. It's more difficult when watching on TV, but when you're there and you see somebody for the whole 90 mins, it's different and I really didn't like what I saw of Torres at all. He moaned, whined, bitched and acted like a petulant cnut all match.

He should have been booked for kicking the white penalty bit away, then his foul and backchatting would have been his 2nd yellow.

Ourselves? I thought we played slightly better in the 2nd half and even though it wasn't the greatest match to watch, I thought we deserved it in the end. Between Torres' goal and his fluffed chance at the end, they did nothing in between that. Some of our passing was absolute woeful at times, Carrick had a nightmare for some reason. By the end of the match, I was just glad of the result. We ended their run of wins and I was delighted with 2-1.

Yeah I agree with that. You really do see how much he moans when you are there live. Not sure how he stayed on the pitch.

I was sat all the way in the top row of the North Stand :lol: Still a frickin great atmosphere. One of the best matches ive been to live. The atmosphere looked like it was shite though when I saw MOTD2 highlights. Thats quite annoying.

There was one funny moment when Vidic was on the ball and was going to do a backpass and Torres was behind and everybody shouted "nooooooo" haha.

I buried my face in my scarf when the ball fell to Torres right at the death, my heart nearly stopped. Me and dad were sat way up at the top of the 2nd tier in the East Stand. The atmosphere was class where we were sat.

He surprised me yesterday. Not so much the goal, but one in the first half where he outjumped Agger, and another where he headed just wide from a horrible cross.

If he is to play through the middle more regularly now then it's a great asset for him to have.
