Specialist In Failure
A couple of icing on the cake goals and the important one his touch let him down and he was very, very lucky.
He falls over to get to the ball he miscontrolled, before Almunia comes out. If you seriously think Gibbs 'brought Park down' you should be on the FA appeals committee. No you're right Park just falls over because he's rubbish.
Park plays a very big part in our attacking build-up whenever he plays, he always has.
It's just a bit frustrating some people think the only thing he's good for is closing down the opposition, essentially.
Park's scored three goals this season, one less than last season, so I'm not really sure what people are talking about when they say he's more of a goal threat? He's always got himself into great positions so nothing's changed there, and he's still missing chances - through bad luck or otherwise - so nothing's changed there.
He's been more adventurous with his dribbling but that aside I don't really notice any big difference in his game compared to last season. He had 8 goals and 9 assists in his first two seasons at the club and was playing just as well so I really don't get why people seem to think this is surprisingly good form nor do I get why people think him being played through the middle is such a genius move - we bought him on the back of his performances there.
It's as if people never really paid any attention to Park until now.
Honestly, I think you have to be blind not to see how many more chances Park is getting now than before. He definitely is a greater goal threat.

By watching him play, he was poor in that game v Liverpool aside from the goal. I don't underrate Man Utd players at all, I just refuse to overrate the mediocre ones.

Exactly.
This sudden mass decision that Park is a completely different player this season has been bugging the shit out of me.
The only difference between this and previous seasons is that he's been a bit more fortunate with injuries, which have allowed him to maintain some decent form over a longer period of time than usual.
Apart from that, he's the exact same player he always was. Reading the comments on here and in the press you'd swear he completely rebuilt his game.
You haven't seen many then. They all think Fletcher's shit.Like you never do it ....
You're the most bitter Arsenal fan I've seen
Spot on. It plain pisses me off too.Exactly.

I don't think Gibbs gets any contact.
Not quite just that I'd reckon - since what then happens is that the longer run of decent form results in improvements in that form as well. Further developments in mutual understanding between team-mates would help as well.
Utd have more than one player who gets better from playing regularly.
The better a player plays, the more likely he will play regularly. Park is currently benefitting from this basic principle of team selection.
He's obviously feeling a lot more confident too. Which, in turn, has upped his level of performance. There's plenty of reasons for him hitting his current purple patch.
What I'm taking exception to is the repeated comments about him somehow being a different player, with newly discovered attributes that were't ever in evidence before. This is nonsense. Whenever he reached his peak form in previous seasons we saw him doing exactly what he's been doing for us in recent weeks.
The only difference - as I've already said - is that he's been able to maintain a good level of form for longer than he managed in the past. The most obvious explanation for this is that he's avoided the really bad luck he's had with injuries that messed up his form in seasons gone by.
The difference between this season and last one for Park, is that he really stands out in his new attacking midfield role.
He is the best central attacking defensive winger the world has ever seen.

Though he ain't ever gonna get the exposure of a Rooney nor does he appear to seek it

Logan! has almost double the amount of posts as anyone else in this thread (78), and he's a raging spastic who thinks Park is useless. Peter and a few others have also made a significant contribution in this respect.
