Manchester United VS Chelsea

Caution will be the order of the day I think, although it would be great to win and we may well, I think the key is simply not to lose, this is more of a pressure game for Chelsea in that regard.

Fergie will start 4-5-1 and keep it tight until he sees exactly how much Chelsea are willing to commit to attack. Our wingers could well be the stars of the show given Chelsea are minus their first choice left back and first and second choice right backs.

I've got faith in Berbs, he just needs adequate support from midfield, and with Giggs likely to start, I reckon he will...

Yeah, good point mate.

Amidst all the Rooney panic, what has been widely overlooked is that Cole, Bosingwa, Ivanovic and Carvalho are all out. Whilst the likes of Zhirkov and Alex are very good stand ins, you still feel that Chelsea have a weak spot to attack there.

I think given their defensive injuries and the pedestrian nature of their midfield (minus Essien) that Ferguson might send us out to go for the jugular.

At the risk of stating the bleeding obvious, I think it's a proper shame that Rooney has sustained this injury. With him in the side, I think we'd have buried Chelsea. Now, I'm not so sure...

The media have pretty much ignored Chelsea's injuries in order to focus on their one man team stories, but their weakness is directly opposite one of our biggest strengths.

I agree that we have a good shot of getting control of midfield, I think Park will be in there with Fletcher and Mikel wont like that, I just wonder if Fergie will go with Scholes or Carrick in the deep role.

Yeah it's a shame, the midweek was kind to Chelsea with the injuries both us and Arsenal suffered, but I honestly don't see us losing which is the main thing.

feck that shit. We are at home, we have by far enough quality available to beat Chelsea, go out and attack and let them worry about us! Wing play, cross after cross. Play our football that we know we can play.

What are you smoking? They were utter shit under Scolari and are good under Ancelotti.

Scolari was a novice in European football whereas Ancelotti has won 2 CL's.

It might be the same players but the mentality is completely different as is their form.

Ancelotti didn't win a title with Milan for five straight seasons, in spite of them having a superior squad for the most of it. He doesn't look like winning with Chelsea either and they haven't been very good this season except for a few games in which they looked better than they actually are (7-1, 7-2, 5-0).

Let me remind you that they were still ahead of us when we beat them 3-0 at Old Trafford last season, and were also tipped as firm favorites at the start of season when they hammered Portsmouth and demolished Middlesbrough away from home.

They were far from dire back then, they are far from dire now. They were far from being the top team they were under Mourinho then, they still are some way from it.

Ferguson has said we will go for the win. We may as well put their makeshift backline to the test.

If we play with a really high tempo, I think that could be the key to the game. I'm not sure Chelsea can live with us in those circumstances.

I just spoke to Hayley Mcqueen on Facebook and she said Hargreaves will be on the bench

Well lets see what happens tomorrow eh? Although I can't see why someone like her would be privvy to that info.

In fairness they were ducks in the water then, and well they got got

FAIL.

So it's not only me not being able to sleep because of the game!

It's 1:27 pacific time here. If I sleep now I know I won't wake up for the game, and if I do try to actually stay awake I know I won't make it. I'm doomed!

Conveniently omits our 4-3 win over City, one of two big Old Trafford games played straight after a CL game (Besiktas away in this case).

Nice one mate.

Seriously, I thought it was tommorrow cause all the "big" games are on Sunday nowadays.. Given it's a 9.10pm start this will be the first game I've watched live all year.

Line up should be something like this yeah?

Gary Ferdinand Vidic Evra

Feltcher Carrick

Scholes

Valenca Giggs

Berbatov

my stomach is starting to churn - really think berbatov is going to prove his doubters wrong the next couple of games - people need to remind themselves how bad terry has been lately

nani, giggs and valencia have the intelligence to create/score and park always plays well against chelsea

i'm up for this

Truelly believe course of our season will be decided today as a win will lift players for bayern game...........and a win there IMO lead to CL final. A loss today.....and feeling chelski will not lose another game and bayern game might be a bridge to far due to confidence etc.

I really hope berb takes this as opportunitty to silence the snipers....cometh the hour.....cXXXXX.....:wenger:
