In the case of Carrick: good players who have played a role in our successes over the past three/four years deserve a little more leeway when form dips. That is all that is happening with Carrick at the moment. It sickens me when people talk about flogging players on the basis of a bit of bad form. It's so reactionary and knee jerk, it's untrue.
Even Berbatov has done well enough this season to be commanding respect from United fans. Some however, seem intent on remembering only his debut season. This season, the fella has done well when called upon. I have every faith that he'll produce the goods in the absence of Rooney.
