Dean had a good enough game. but what a ridiculous decision to allow that goal.

mind you it sort of made up for what Neville got a away with in the first half.
btw he made some awful poor decisions with his crosses. sometimes passion by itself is not enough.

First half they had the bulk of possession but really never forced a save, in the second half we had the lions share but until the very end we never troubled the goal.

I thought Fletcher did a good job pressing them higher up and driving from the midfield in the second half but it was a lot of frantic scrambling without any guile.

In the end though we deserved a point but the linesman has cost us, however we have to look at the lack of clear cut chances we made for a home game as well.

i think these are fair points. Sometimes fletcher does run around like a chicken with his head cut off.

Berbs had the chance to quiet all of the nay sayers with his volley from 12 yards out but alas he didnt.

What will fergie do on wednesday against bayern. Maybe its time to start with a 442 from the start

Much prefer Liverpool in that fourth spot than City. Though I'd rather see Spurs nick it.
 
got to say our midfield barring Giggs and Fletcher is rubbish, scholes and carrick require too much time on the ball.

fergie again out thought by anchellotti (who has been out thought by Mourinio on many an occasion).


RB is a problem as Rafael is too inexpeirenced and Brown injured, O'shea getting an injury, that makes up all the time for him not getting injured much before. Macheda does look promising.
 
some of Scholes passes were magnificent. but we did not have anyone to take advantage of them. and Neville was woeful in his passes.

unfortunately when it mattered the old hands were just....well old.
 
now for those who live in england and the rest of the footballing world im sure the ABU press will go on and on about United being a one man team. I didnt see that today. I saw us get our tactics wrong the first half (playing for a draw) and when we introduced some pace into our game we gave chelsea problems.

It reminds me of how we used to play milan before this year (way to much respect). Again though if chelsea run the table from here and win they deserve it.

feck that. Sometimes you need drive and motivation to do your best and Rafael has bucket loads of that. He's also good at football for a change. And is much much quicker than old Gaz and has a better delivery especially with the short passing.

Since we need to score I reckon Fergie might well chance Macheda and Nani will definitely be back in.

i agree, but i do feel that the only reason Fergie does not give him time is because of he thinks he's inexperienced. we could have done with the tried and tested formation today, valencia was singled out and so was berbatove. soon as nani came on it opened up.

Dean is terrible ref and we all know that but he did not cost us the game... We were playing at home but yet Chelsea was more dominant right from the start... The desire to win was more on there side... There motivation was bigger then our... Our players figured out that we need Chelsea to not win so we can be first sooo late in the game... Maybe Neville has more expirience the Rafael in positioning but we were playing at home and rafael would have make some demage in Chelsea box... Fergie team selection is what I didnt like in our last two games.... We had a team that was winning but he changed it for Bayern and again for Chelsea... We are making the mistake rafa was making with Liverpool.... Valencia-Fletcher-Park-Scholes/Carrick/Giggs-Nani... Is it so hard to play with the winning midfield players??? And as for Berba.... Stop saying that Berbatov can do the job against great teams... He cant... Period... From now on I have more believe that Macheda will play better against top clubs then Berbatov.. He had chances he had the last one but he was just Berbatov... It was typical for him to miss... We are one-man team... And its nothing wrong to admit that... Now-days we are always one-man team.... Before we depended on RONALDO now we depend on ROONEY..
