Honestly WHAT is the point of giggs playing? He does NOTHING of use. His passes never really reach anyone. Rather have Park or Macheda play with Berba upfront than Giggs.
I'm sure we'd have scored in those 2 seconds.
Giggs and Berba need to step it up, we've been comfortable.. just need to create more chances.
I'd do a straight swap Berbatov for Macheda
The reason people say we need midfielders is because the midfield always plays poorly with Berbatov in the team unless Rooney is on song. Not really a coincidence.
Well, we've been far superior to them, only hindered by some frustrating finishing and decision making. And the old ginger has outshined Scholesy's two pin up boys.

Good performance so far. We're a 2nd half team (we've scored about 75% of our goals in the 2nd half).

He's had 3 clear cut chances this half and fluffed them all. A partner wouldn't have helped him.
I've never bad mouthed Berbatov but I'm afraid in a game like this, when you miss golden opportunities, your numbers up.
Which is exactly what i was worried about before the game, lots of nice play and some good openings but not end product.

Dawson and King look very solid today, and unfortunately Berba and Giggs don't look as sharp as we could hope...

Berbatov is just part of the relative toothlessness in fairness. It's a collective responsibility. I think we'll up in the second half in any case.

Berbatov is a passenger. 2 central midfielders and 2 effective strikers would be enough against most teams. When there is a need to play 3 CMs, then Rooney on his own
If Berbatov had a killer instinct he would be unstoppable, unfortuantly for us he doesn't seem to have it. Fairly obvious he needs a partner up top, and its not Giggs.
Give it 10 minutes and if no goal.. one of Giggs and Berba have to go for me.
Think we are playing pretty well. As for Berb... well I'm gonna single him out here... thrashes at his shots like a amateur although he was a tad unlucky not to stick away that one in the box.
I would say take Giggs off and put Macheda up front so Berbatov can break down their back four, but we know Giggs will sometimes up his performance in the second half. I prefer him in a super-sub role these days. His pace and skill is much better utilized in the final 30 minutes.

Unfortunately this is true. I said we need Nani and Valencia to both have a great performance but a couple of moves aside they have been a bit average themselves. Poor crossing on Valencia's part and Nani doesn't seem to be on the same wavelength with his fellow attackers.
At least someone is taking shots.
Get Giggs off for a player who can shoot.

The only thing that giggs has done well in the last 4 months must be that assist to Rooney for the injury time winner in the semi final.
