But seriously he and Berbatov upfront are the worst pairing possible.
I remember at the start of07/08 we played Giggs and Tevez up front for a few matches. That was slightly more painful for my money.
Hopefully Sir Alex lets rip. 26 minutes of football without an effort on goal is a joke. You won't score if you don't shoot. Once we had our first we had more but there's no excuse for 26 minutes at home - no shot on goal....
Giggs again not very effective playing in behind Berbatov. Annoying thing is, this has been quite obvious the past few games. Something needs to change. You can't help but think a younger Ryan would have got on the end of a few of those balls through today.
Our players keep saying we are not a one man team. It's two and a half games of football now that they have done nothing to prove them selves without Rooney.
This fixture last year we had Tevez Berbatov Rooney Ronaldo.
Out of them only Berbatov is playing now. It's certainly a huge drop in quality especially when Rooney gets injured.

I think saying he was excellent does him a disservice as he has shown he is capable of so much more. I think Assou-Ekotto has done well against him and he doesn't seem to be know what Giggs or Berbatov are going to do. Been our best attacker mind.

Best chance of scoring would seem to be via a bit of magic from distance, a 'worldie' as paul Merson would say....we really do struggle to create clear cut openings lately.
