Celtic v Manchester United - Pre-Season Tour

HA HA Berba in the man of the match post interview and gets asked how was the new shirt and he responds with "arrrh I don't know, a shirt is a shirt no, the shirt doesn't play". Brilliant.

I would do but I can't find the bloody thing. Basically there were pre-Munich items and newspaper reports that referred to United as Man Utd. The 1995 FA Cup Final song has the phrase "Man Utd for the cup" in it. The United museum is full of stuff that says Man Utd on it - including the in house software.

Oh I see.

But what about that chant and all that information about Duncan Edwards? Who fabricated it?

It wasn't fabricated as far as I'm aware, just blown out of proportion. Rivals sing anti United songs referring to us as "United" but we haven't decided that's a taboo name.

I never say Man Utd myself, mind, as I think it makes you sound like a lazy nob. I just don't buy into all this "Real fans don't say Man Utd" bollocks - especially when it's just someone cutting and pasting something they've read on the internet. I believed it for a while myself, but being the inquisitive type, I looked into whether there was any truth behind it and found that it was not as straight forward as it seems.

Oh cheers. I guess that makes two of us. I don't say it and even when I thought it was derogatory, I never said it either but a couple years back I said it to a colleague of mine (also a United fan) and he completely had a go at me.

Sorry, I was sure I heard you talking about Diouf passing the boy there.

I remember only posting something along the lines of "nice back heel from berba". I must've been talking to you on Skype because I spoke highly of Diouf on it, but your username doesn't sound familiar, what's your real name?

Now you're confusing me. You were taking the piss, right? Viv Anderson's pronounciation of ball sounded like "boy".

you might have seen me, I was right where Cleverly was taking the corners!

I loved the match btw, envy all of you that get to watch United on a weekly basis!

and kudos to Kiko, for giving his shirt to the little kid in front of me.
